It was worse than Puncheon's v Spurs.
What was he thinking! Sometimes footballers amaze me. |

And we all know how good Puncheon has been since that day....

He's going to be a great player for us. I had him down to score a double today but I'm happy with "just" the winner

I like the look of him, he isnt a trickster but he just looks more polished than Zaha and Bolasie.
Not sure he is a CM mind! |

Wow. Quite a debut. Never realised how powerful he is.

A winger that can finish. Lovely

A fine debut. More of an eye for goal than either Yannick or Wilf. Gives us a different option on the flanks. Hopefully will continue to contribute in the same way for the rest of the season.

I can see him taking Zaha's place. Very impressive when Pardew eventually put him out wide.

Very impressed, could even see him breaking into the starting line up if he plays like that every game

Excellent today - must admit off the back of his runouts with the U21s I wasn't expecting him to be ready yet but to put in that 90 minutes in that heat and do that at the end was great.
Mix and match of 2 of our 3 wingers should do really well.

A Wilf/Yannick - Puncheon - Sako attacking midfield would be awfully delicious

Yup,middle well today and an excellent precision finish. He absolutely leathered a couple of earlier attempts!

At first I thought he was way too ponderous, slowing play down when on the ball, and a tendency not to look to lay off for a better shooting opportunity.
However, by the end, I also noticed the strength at holding the ball up, willingness to shoot, and how some of the other players look poor at the moment. So, if we signed him for nowt, it looks a steal.

Didn't think much of his first half performance but looked a different player when allowed to play on the wing in the second half. Think he could be a real asset for the team.

Can we now put to bed the tired 'but he's unproven in the PL' nonsense, when we're looking at lower league players. This lad has just created a much welcomed dilemma for Pardew.

Sako was dominant. Yes, he scored the goal so it's easy to praise him now, but that goal was hardly his only chance. Put in a really strong day and he seemed to be everywhere at times.

Wait till he has a bad game and he will be a championship player again
