This is almost a Palace mantra for us fans.

I prefer it, like last summer, when we were favourites to go down with Huddersfield and Brighton. Better to be underdogs.
Shame Saints stayed up at Swansea's expense. I would have had Cardiff, Huddersfield and Swansea down for the drop next May. So Cardiff, Huddersfield and the other to come from any of 10 or 11. Last edited by claretblue; 08-06-2018 at 03:55 PM. |

Until we stop being one Wilfried Zaha injury away from certs for relegation then i think the bookies are actually being quite generous.
Until we sign two proper forwards - or just one more if Sorloth is up to it - then that situation will remain. |

If you could evens anywhere for Cardiff to go down then im sorry but that has to be printing money and i would be heavily interested.
Happy to eat my own words but I just do not see their squad being anywhere near good enough to get 10 wins and 6 draws. Even if they splash cash and bought 5 or 6 players, their squad will be desperately thin of quality and if these 5/6 were hit with injuries like we were last year I could easily see them down with under 20 points. Also, has nothing to do with whether or not we will or wont go down either before people shout me down for having a negative opinion on another club

Last season the over-performed against most metrics and it is possible they would do so again. If they were to not do so they start to tumbl down towards the mix. Throw in that they had a pretty settled side for most of the year, didn't suffer too many injuries and this season they will add an extra 20-25% to their fixture schedule, i think it is right they will struggle. Swansea were the only other team not to win in the last 5 games of last season. Think they will be looking around for 3 worse teams this season. |

Disagree about him being inept at PL level. Is he good enough? Quite possibly not but inept is way too harsh. Many people thought Hughton wasn't up to it at this level after Norwich's relegation but he proved them wrong. I'm not saying they will stay up and a lot will depend on their transfer business too but it's very early to write a team off. Many did that to Huddersfield and Brighton last summer.

Yep, if we start the season yet again without proper tricky winger cover i'll have another breakdown. I don't care if they can also play centrally. We fell off a cliff when Bolasie was out in the cup final season and again since when Wilf has been out. It is not a coincidence that Punch also disappeared over the edge in conjunction with Bolasie's loss and Benteke with Wilf's (loss and not playing wide). With all the balance suddenly lacking there is extra pressure on those players to make a silk purse out of...…. Lots of fans will attack them for loss of form but we caused it with poor decision making, failing to learn from previous errors etc Anyone notice how Sanchez can't play under Mourinho? How Pogba can't? how Rashford can't? You can't just take away the tools to do the job then moan about a tragic and apparently sudden loss of form.

It does mean something. It guarantees nothing but it certainly helps.

Wolves are a team or mercenaries, all of whom would jump ship at the first chance of joining a top 6 side. There is no fight in them when the shit starts to hit the fan.

At which of the 'threatened with relegation' clubs do we think Allardyce will end up? Who's going to blink first in the sack race? My bet's on Cardiff for that I think.

admittedly my mental list of clubs I enjoy seeing fail is getting too long but it'd be funny to see them struggle, especially after 10 mins on their forum |

More like the new Watford - they have bent the transfer rules - if the players they are signing are top notch then they wouldn’t be signing for Wolves

Is it a ten-point deduction for entering administration in the Prem too? Or is there some FFP commitee that decide your fate?

I think the penalty in the Prem is 8 points, seem to remember it being talked about when Portsmouth were in trouble.
The way Wolves have gone about signing players is despicable. Administration followed by a swift relegation and recievership would be just.

The mendes connection will see top quality players appearing on loans and frees with big money sales once showcased. |
