I wanted him to start v Watford. It’s a narrow midfield 4 so not out of position playing on left side. He’s got to play v Swans and Saints.

Don’t most Germans born in the last few decades speak great English?

Did enough to show he’s ready to start now. Pulled us back into he game today.

Most Germans speak better English than we do because they actually learn grammar and pride themselves on good grammar (in whatever language). I have a degree in German and my German is worse than most Germans' English.

It was a collective observation from several threads. 4 appear at once all looking for the holes to poke at as soon as the final whislte goes.

Has some class about him and very good assist...on same wavelength as Wilf, but maybe needs more time to adapt as he looked a little lost at times with the speed and physicality of the game.

Looks a class act. Should be the first name on the teamsheet from here on in based on today's shit show.

Looked good till his card, drifted out of the game after that.

People are suggesting that his foul on Capoue was a form of retribution for Wilf. If true, that’s almost Cabaye esque, and definitely helps me warm to Max more.

Wilf looks like he's thinking: "Wow, you're a short-arse hardman"

Did capoue get stretcherd off? If not....It's not good enough and he should not play again for us...

I don't know if anyone else finds it frustrating that despite a misfiring centre forward and a midfield short of creativity and we have brought in new players to offset these issues Roy is seemingly unwilling to bring them in. I can understand not changing a winning side but now we have lost 2 in a row he should look to and would be justified in making changes. Meyer in for schlupp and Sorloth or Ayew for CB. I am almost tempted to suggest Kouyate in for Jimmy Mac . I expect AWB to return to side v Saints and hope Tomkins is fit but seems Kelly did okay. I only saw opening 25 mins v Watford. When we looked pretty Good.

If you saw the second half you’d be much more eager to bring Kouyaté in too, as they made our midfield look powderpuff.
