Compare this output to the shoddy Club statement - well done HF!

Class from the HF all round. I'd give up my seat in the WH for this and my boys. In fact if they do create this, I'd like to move there...

Exciting, I really hope they can start working things out now.

Fantastic statement. What a vision. Only the club can make it a reality.

Yeah, fair play. Hope this works.

Still boils down to "we want E block, we want it NOW and it's down to the club to sort out any fallout from unhappy incumbents".
I've nothing against the ultimate vision of the whole Lower Holmesdale as a singing section - but it would be so much easier for both club and fans if it was done as part of the inevitable changes for safe seating & the new stand. One question - the changes proposed by the HF, even if they are sanctioned by the club immediately, will take time to implement. Are the HF going to go back to B block in the interim period to rebuild the damaged atmosphere? Or are they still going to continue their self imposed exile until everything falls into place exactly the way they want it? |

It sounds great but it is ultimately the same as we all knew. The hf want to move people out of the central blocks for a section for them and a wider singing section. I guess it could be argued it’s for the greater good but they are ultimately moving people out of better seats. There will be some that don’t really want to sit in the corner. The club probably should have done it but also the hf shouldn’t have flounced when it didn’t get done this time through fear of unfairly treating those in there already..

The trouble such a section will have is a lack of options to move out of when people grow out of it. The kop suffers the same problem. People get old but don’t want to stop going and they don’t want to pay for more expensive seats or cannot find places elsewhere to move to.
The same happens with the family stands. Plenty of people still in them that don’t move out when they are no longer with kids etc. For similar reasons. Sold out grounds are hard to reshuffle whilst there are plenty that would move and plenty of fans that would move in but that’s near on impossible to manage on an ongoing basis. So in some ways the strength of the ultra group being in a less popular viewing area is because it is just that and people keen can generally get in close to them as and when they want. Safe standing will be allocated so still won’t fix it. Last edited by scro; 04-09-2018 at 10:07 PM. |

Wonder if they’d accept people moving over from the AW. Was in the section at Wembley but currently stand in W.

First dibs have surely got to go to existing Holmesdale ST holders. Imagine their would be a fair few who rather not partake, so there will be tickets.

There is no doubt that without the organised HF in Block B, the atmosphere has been nowhere near the levels of previous seasons. It is currently nowhere near intimidating to opposition teams or fans.
They also make an excellent point about Wembley where that central singing section was wonderful. To re-organise the Holmesdale will be a massive undertaking but they are right. It could create an unbelievable atmosphere. Noses will be put out of joint and there will be much gnashing of teeth but the end result may well justify the action. |

Is the accompanying "brochure" done in conjunction with the Club?
If so, will the HF revert back to the 65 odd remaining seats int Block B for this season only ? It should be quite easy for the club to relocate or put back to existing season ticket locations for the 35 season tickets holders that have already bought these.... |

'Everyone in the LH will get a chance to choose their seat'.
Sounds good but... 1 they already do don't they? 2 presumably not those behind the goal because then the singing section would not be there? It's a grand bit of marketing but the devil is in the detail and the grand plan now seems to effect the whole of the LH rather than a couple of blocks. It will be interesting to see what impact/reaction this has. Kudos to them though for the presentation.

Let's show some unity and move the talks forward. You don't get anywhere without a dialogue, but up to now we have just had rumours, suposition and third hand whispers, which have lead to some bitter words without concrete facts.
This is the time to show the spirit of 2010 and push Palace forward again. Get together and make this work for us all, a proper vision for all Palace supporters.

Read the whole statement. As it quite rightly says the new stand could be 5+ years away....
