Quite concerning, that. Or if we do produce them, we don’t see the benefit. Having said that, who would have thought Lewis Grabban would become a Premier League player?! |

Clinton is still playing at the age of 39!

Interesting as a Tooting lad he is presumably living in the Midlands as he has played for two Non-League clubs based there, normally you would choose a non-league team based on where you want to live.

What kind of wages would he get at a club like this? |

Barely anything maybe afew hundred tops per match. Which makes me thinks he lives round the Midlands, maybe he settled while at Birmingham or Coventry, just interesting as I thought he would be straight back to South London.

Yeah for Mickleover Sports in Derby, a lot of academy players that are released from East Midlands clubs go there.
My son's football manager's eldest played against Clinton the other month, he said he was told by the senior players there was a black guy, ex-Irish International in the team called, I said "Clinton Morrison?" before he could finish. He said he literally didn't do much other than score a hattrick... |

Orient 3:1 Bromley - Lumeka still does not feature. Orient now top of the League. James Daly & Tyler Brown - Kingstonian Bostick League. Burgess Hill 0:1 Kingstonian - Tyler Brown played all match, James Daly came on as an 85th min sub. Leatherhead 2:1 Kingstonian - again Brown played 90 mins and Daly was a 61st min sub Kingstonian 2:1 Margate - as per, Brown played all 90 mins, Daly was an 88th min sub Jordan Mutch - Vancouver Whitecaps US Soccer Season over. Does not look like the Whitecaps took the opportunity to sign the mighty Mutch permanently, or even extend his loan so we get him back for another 6 or so months. |

I thought I that under some super wheeze the club devised during the summer, borrowing clubs had to pay a premium to CPFC if the loaned players did not play.
If so, and given how financially poor some of these clubs are, and almost all playing at pretty low tiers of football, some of these players must be seriously crap. Looking looking like another big clear out in the summer - if anyone will take a them on. |

If you ignore the hyperbole about Hodgson potentially taking an interest (the lad is playing in the Bostik league!) then yes it is.
Sounds like he's playing a different role to that which he does at Palace though. No chance he gets the opportunity to run through defenders as the sole CF in the U23s (a role which doesn't suit him at all). Tyler Brown is one of those stop-gap players who you bring in to fill a gap and because they're a really good person to have around - their mental attributes are more valuable than their technical ability. I think he's out of contract in the summer and may be let go. Lumeka will never play for Leyton Orient

Appreciate your posts, woosie. I liked how positive Lumeka looked in that brief cameo against Burnley. It seems a shame he can’t get a look in elsewhere.

What's the thinking with Lumeka?

It's not just his football that has done for him at Orient

When the last time a player was loaned out, was successful, and then made the first team?

That’s a shame.

There has been a few youngsters who dont have the discipline off the field recently. Wasn't RI one of those who may have turned that around, but there were a couple back in the championship who played an odd game, looked decent and the ended up pissed in public or sometimes worse. Such a shame. JT had an issue back in his WH days iirc, but managed to work through it.
