This season will be same as last for me. A struggle but we should be ok. We are not stronger than last season so no reason to think it will be different and as we are already seeing a couple of injuries affect us greatly. And we do get injuries

I think Meyer will definitely start when he's match fit. He hadn't played since April (when he fell out with Schalke over his contract wranglings and was dropped), so I think Roy is easing him in.

Thank you Malarkey.
I also don't think making a jocular post about Paul Lambert/Clement is promoting rubbish I won't mention that as " someone " might miss the point

6 points from 5 games. Tick. Another 4 from the next 3 will keep us ahead of the game.
Far, far too early to say we are a relegation scrap though. |

Don't know about that, would say if you aren't a top 6-7 team you are in a relegation scrap every season. Just life innit

Next four are massive...
22/9 Newcastle (h) 01/10 Bournemouth (a) 6/10 Wolves (h) 21/10 Everton (a) |

Should be aiming for 4 points from our next 3.

There's points in all of those - 2 wins, 2 draws.

Current form based over our first 5 games of 6 points would see us at 42ish points at the end of the season.

I think the next dozen or so matches will be massive in determining how the first half of the season goes. Don't shoot me down, it's just how I see it.

So that will mean there are only 2 more in the first half of the season so yes probably

In all seriousness its too early to judge if this window was another utter failure or a success. We've hardly seen Meyer or Guitar yet. The only obvious difference is the midfield is noticeably weaker, which impacts everywhere. No real contribution from the strikers yet, which would make a huge difference instead of relying on Wilf every week.

we have had a relatively easy start to the season which is continuing in the next four games
i think we are roughly down two points at the moment from what I would expect for a 40 point finish mostly because of the home defeat to southampton which has been our worst result so far very early to predict but at this stage looks like cardiff and Huddersfield most likely to be relegated this season and then its not easy to find another low odds club, I think it could be very close for the third spot among as many as eight clubs |

southampton looked poor last night which made our result against them even worse

The Newcastle game will be a crucial game to win as 3 points will give us breathing space, as the Three games that follow are tricky ones. Bournemouth are flying and are full of confidence, Wolves are a classy outfit that come at you regardless if its home or away and tend to break you down with persistence, Everton you never know what to expect but have the quality to make life difficult, but strangely its maybe the one game of the Three where i expect something from.
As for the relegation trio, i will stick with my prediction from the start of the season of Cardiff, Huddersfield and Newcastle being the "big" team as we see every season go |
