I agree but that's not my point. Regardless of whether he should have scored or not he had two high quality players not making the runs to support him.

We need to get the likes of Bright and Wright to do a few sessions with our strikers

It's all about confidence. We've had a poor run, the team is in a rut in front of goal. Compare this to the chances being put away back end of last season when the players (except CB) all looked confident of scoring when chances came up. This season they all look like they are going to miss and there is tremendous pressure on them. The goals will come soon, I'm sure. Its more of a worry when the team just doesn't create any chance. We seem to create 3-4 good chances every game, so I should hope we will start putting some of these away, starting with Burnley. COYP

But let's face it, they'd have missed too! |

Can anyone name the players who have missed these chances and for a bonus point name the teams that they were missed against?

Confidence: Use it or lose it.
Split second composure in front of goal. Ala Sane yesterday against The Hammers.

The BBS has been a cesspit of negative whinging and moaning about everything at the club for what seems like ages now, it's as if people are not happy unless they are moaning about something or other. Of course we should talk about what needs to be improved at the club but every so often it would be nice if it was balanced out with some positivity, as all the relentless negativity is tiresome. |

Truth is we have no strikers of any quality but we can't keep harping on about it. We have what we have and Roy has to try and find a way to win games without a striker.

Andros and AWB put in a few low crosses that you’d really hope someone would attack at the near post. We were excellent today, but we still need a goal scorer.

Play well but finishing is still awful 29 attempts today yet only 2 goals This should have been a 4-0 or 5-0 thrashing Still 3 points but Mr Parrish needs to support Roy in early Jan

Imagine a decent striker in our team today. We would have been out of sight by half time. The board need to sort this in January. The finishing today was painfully bad. But at least we weren't made to pay for it thankfully.
Very good performance apart from the finishing. |

Been quite clear for a very long time that we have no-one good enough up top. We would easily be a top 10 side if we had that one missing player. GK, defence and midfield are good and seem quite settled

The hardest, most expensive position to fill, especially in the prem, they are at a premium. Unless you take a chance on unearthing someone, and we did with Sørloth, look what happened. |
