Kevin Friend is a ******* cheat!
Calling it now.
He is not a shit ref, he is a ******* cheat. Half of Brightons points this season have been obtained with him refereeing, he has been ******* awful against us in just about every game he has had us. The first is clearly a good challenge. The second is clearly a goal kick. When Wilf gets taken out by March it is no foul. When he slips into March it is a yellow card. The decisions he gave our way are so stonewall not even a blatant cheat could have failed to give them! We get a lot of poor referees, the standard is poor but his persistent decisions given against us and Zaha can only be explained 1 way. This is despite us being poor, especially the manager tonight. |

Stop blaming the ref. The players were wank. Get over it.

I bet the manager doesn’t say anything though as per usual. We should formally complain about Friend’s ‘performance’.

Gonzo is right. The pen and the corner left us screwed.

According to Penstone Eagle, the corner should have been a penalty.

A terrible performance - neither penalty was a penalty.
But we have to look at our performance and it simply wasn't acceptable.

Was it a penalty?
Was it a corner? Shoudl WIlf have had a free kick? What the **** was he doing with Luka at the penalty? If part of the ball is over part of the spot, then it is in the right place. Even the commentators were bemused by his calling over the captains constantly for nothing. Usually i would say incompetent but he ALWAYS is in our games and ALWAYS in favour of the opposition. |

Did you read what he said? He said we were poor - the thread is about how poor the ref was

It should have been a pen.

The truth is players were awful, no intensity no game plan and terrible passing. The pen wasn’t a pen, the challenge on Glenn was a pen, Ref had a very poor game, misjudging a lot of challenges. Worst of all was the manager who sat on his hands when changes were obvious at ht. It’s over, but we need revenge at Selhurst ....

Ref was awful, but we were worse.
AWB start to the game was atrocious. Completely taken in by the occassion. First goal was hist fault. 2nd goal was no marking at a corner. 3rd was Tomkins not taking the chance to clear the ball and Sakho standing back and not getting involved. Blame the ref all you like, but we lost the game tonight. They were only 1 up and down to 10 men. We threw it away.

Gonzo...you are a Tory Wanker but at least you are Palace. Find it in your heart to forgive.

We will get this guy another 2-3 times this season.
The penalty turned the game, but we played awful from the first minute. The ref was the second worst performer behind our whole club. |

The penalty was a terrible decision.
The goal from the corner was due to Tomkins having a Sunday league moment. Corner or not, it shouldn't have cost us. The third goal was due to Tomkins, Sakho and Henn having a Sunday league moment |

People who say we shouldn't blame the ref....could you clarify whether goals affect games or not? 2 goals from too clear incorrect decisions have no affect? They didnt make it easier for a team to sit back and defend? Even with 10 men? Always thought goals changed games....
Actually it could have been a correct decision based on Hacketts justification of the Son dive on Sundat Last edited by Lombardo's hair; 04-12-2018 at 11:03 PM. |
