Didnt like Roys comments. Totally demotivating for those on the bench and does not bode well for the harmony of the camp. However, Roys probably not too far from the truth and shows his frustration with the group he has at his disposal. These comments should be ringing in Stevie P's ears.

But the tactics aren’t why we lost, Brighton had 3 shots on goal, scored all 3, and every one stemmed from absolutely shit defending plus the additional shit decisions. AWB and Lula not talking caused the penalty, our atrocious marking caused the second, we had at least 3 players marking no one at all at a corner! And the 3rd was awful defending again. Whilst I can accept we were highly unlikely going to win the game the way we played and the way the team was set up, with hindsight of course. But the tactics aren’t why we lost. That is on the players 100%. The manager is always the one sacrificed when it doesn’t go well. But for a change the fans need to look closer to the pitch for who to blame sometimes! Our defending was awful and like all season, our shooting has been woeful.

I’d call em out if I put on a player crying out for first team football, publicly, that comes on for the best part of 40 minutes and doesn’t give it everything! The difference between Sako coming in last year and Sorloth this year is staggering, and one of those was an overweight, lazy, useless liability for the most part of his time here. The other is a youngster ffs! No one outside the first 11 is pushing anyone in it to have to work to retain their place, besides perhaps Guaita, as Hennessey seems to play better since his arrival. It’s no surprise they first 11 sometimes seem too comfortable. Wayne’s the only one possibly under pressure and look how that has affected his performances. The rest need just to turn up! Our recruitment and back up squad is woeful. Each year our squad has got progressively worse, set we seem to think our team should be performing better each season. Baffles me.

The fact only West Brom wanted him, and that he's only played 2 games for a total of 85 minutes this season, it's probably a good thing we didn't keep him.

We could do with the version of Sako from last season. However, he's only played twice for WBA (due to injuries, I think) so not sure re-signing him would have helped.

Thinnest squad in the last 5 years. Past the starting 11 there doesn't look anyone who can do a job over the medium to long term.
After Tuesday I am beginning to question Roy. Not because we lost to Brighton but the team played like England v Iceland. He seems not to know how to change it when it's going wrong. |

What a season he is having. I still do not think Ayew is the answer to the problems we have up front. 9 games and one shot on target.

RH did say during the January transfer Window that Sorloth was always his top target . Also said that he had been an admirer of Ayew for a long time . He made comment last month that he hadn't spoken to DF / Recruitment team on which positions they feel need improving on . Maybe I am old fashioned but I would have thought it would be better if RH told them which positions need improving and also suggestions on who he wants .
NB/ Believe RH also was quoted as saying he had not had discussions with SP on what funds may be available |

We don't have enough players to make a decent team, let alone squad.
Why is Hodgson reluctant to make substitutes ? because there is fck-all on the bench |

Funny as he got 11 goals last season on a team that as goal shy as us....makes you think? |

He scored seven times (36 apps) in the league last season. So pretty much one in six

And Bolasie. I'd snap your arm off to have him now, but most deemed him not good enough for us.

The fact we haven't had a substitute come on and actually give it a go all season says it all. When was the last time a sub inspired the rest of the team to up the intensity a bit? I'd even go so far as to say the players knew it was game over when we made changes. There was a moment during the Brighton game where the sub was being made and it panned to several players, and they had an almost resigned sigh, and that was a player staying on. Might be a coincidence, but it can only affect players in a similar vein it does us. Sub and Cup appearances are a fringe players chance to prove they should start. Not one has proven in any game this season, they deserve to replace someone. None of them have remotely staked a claim for a place. Hardly the players you can rely on when, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 down!

We all know this- but I am still praying we change tactics this time, given how we are still being haunted by the absolute shitshow that was last January.
