Personally I'd put Kelly in and probably play Sorloth and AT upfront. Oh and Dann and Wickham on the bench if fit.

Yeah I was thinking about Ward and pushing AWB up but couldn't figure it out, quite like to see that.

I agree. AWB is a converted winger so why not? Unfortunately the ever cautious Roy will replace Tomkins with Kelly and Wilf with Ayew. Kelly v Vardy or Iheanacho worries me. |

AWB is a good defender but nowhere near good enough with the ball to play in an attacking position at this level.

Nowhere near good enough, yet. Why ruin the poor kid's confidence by dumping into the shitshow that is our first team at the moment?

Van Aanholt not listed at physioroom.com, anyone know what state he's in? One of the few players who hasn't been unadulterated s***e in the last two games. Wan-Bissaka needs a bollocking and a rest. Also without Tomkins there we need Ward for his experience. Milivojevic also requires a hair-dryer session and a week off. Hennessey probably needs a rest too. If Sørloth doesn't start now then when will he?
If van Aanholt's fit then Guaita Ward Kelly Sakho van Aanholt McArthur Meyer Kouyate Townsend Sørloth Ayew Put Kaikai on the bench and tell Ayew he'll be subbed if he does anything s***.

What is the point of this debate. You all know perfectly well. Kelly in for Tompkins and Ayew for Wilf. That's is it assuming PVA is injured. If PVA not out then Schlupp in place of Ayew.

Wickham and Dann will not be fit to start.
The thought of Ayew or Sorloth starting makes my heart sink. A Zaha less Palace is such an unattractive thought that even going Xmas shopping on Saturday is more appealing. |

PVA . Sakho . Kelly . AWB Townsend . Luka . Kouyate . Macca Ayew . Sørloth is Dann game fit yet? If so, he should go in for Kelly same for wickham if he is ready he should be instead of the Viking so we can have a big man- little man combo

Need a formation and tactical change. Full backs tucking in and McArthur/Meyer having to cover full back's wide positions gives opposition too much space on flanks. This has been a constant issue all season.
Goal 1 and Goal 3 yesterday came because full-back/wide midfielders were too narrow and did not close down their men quickly enough. Admittedly, both were great strikes. Up front, without Zaha, time to play Sorloth and a more crosses and direct football. Although the slow build up and all the passing across the box like a Top 6 side is pretty to watch it is often ponderous/predictable and has not been producing the goals. Teams like Cardiff, Huddersfield and Brighton know their limitations and are doing better with a more direct and physical approach. We seem to get bullied too easily by such teams and were lucky to win at Huddersfield but got found out against Brighton. Most of this season, we have been weak in the air and no threat from set pieces. So interesting we scored our first goal from a set piece and Schlupp's goal yesterday was the first headed goal this season. |
