Harry and Jamie as his number 2. We’d be the media darlings of all the red tops. |

A couple of bad results?

As bad as it looks, only Southampton and Newcastle are the really bad results in that group of teams this season (taking form into consideration when we played them ie. Watford and Wolves)

Will beating Leicester prove anything? What if we lose that one? No Tomkins and no Wilf - at least Roy’s got an excuse. Then we lose at Man City, but hey, what do we expect. And so to Cardiff - what would a win prove? And defeat then would surely spell the end.

Dunno if they keep it under 5 then that will feel like a moral victory based on previous results there.

Thread title is harsh. My nan got a new boyfriend at 80-odd so Roy’s got plenty to live for yet.

Alright saying get Parish to buy us some new players in January. Realistically are they going to want to come here? With regards to Roy he looks done in now. Spouts same rubbish every week now and it would be best all round if he just put his hand up like Ollie and say I can do no more

I'm not a fan of Hodgson's but I had wanted him to stay as I think we need some managerial stability. But his stubbornness and refusal to stop playing the same old dull, tired tactics which negates some of our main players is killing us. He's a one trick pony and shows no sign of adapting. What also concerns me is his dumb post match conferences. He's either lost his stomach for the fight or he's genuinely out of answers. He looks utterly clueless these days. Our only hope is that there are three worse teams but I can't see who they are at the moment. The players are also guilty of being gutless. 8th highest wage bill and they play like this. It's not good enough. Fine to lose games but these capitulations are unacceptable. |

Parish hasnt got a leg to stand on, Roy's January and summer have been nothing short of disgraceful. Parish needs to go before the manager.

We have a lower premier League squad and we'll probably end up finishing 15th-16th, as we generally do. |

I'm not sure that's statistically significant enough to draw said conclusion, excluding the Pardiola season, there's a variation of no more than three points. If anything, the fact we're a point ahead of where we were last season is positive (except last season we were on an upward trajectory results wise after the seven game losing run)
Anyhow, there's no one better than Roy available (please don't say the J-word), although he's definitely not a world beatingly good manager. What disturbs me most is we don't seem to be playing that badly a lot of the time, but we concede these cheap or counter attacking goals. I therefore move that we shelve the possession based football for now and just focus on winning or drawing ugly, let's get some points on the board however they come. Confidence is just too brittle in my view, as I previously said. Time for "respect the point" IMO. |

Our players are weak mentally and there is a lack of leadership on the pitch and off it.
