Can only go on Training videos and pre match warm ups but have not seen anything from Guaita to suggest he should replace Wayne since arriving. Perhaps if he was impressing in training he would be given a chance.

Yes, official premier league stats which I always ask you to elaborate on, as they’ll have whoever Cardiff’s keeper is as ‘better’ than Lloris, De Gea etc.

Guaita can’t be ripping up trees, as although WH has been ok this season, he is still the weakest player in our starting 11 imo.
If you look at the number of times WH pulls off a save when the odds are against him, it is very very rare. Saturday a prime example, all 3 were saveable with a top keeper. WH feet were nailed to the floor on all 3 goals. |

I know Henn is greatly improved this season but, I still feel there's something of The Albatross about him. We bought Guiata are we gunna go a whole season and not even give him a go prem game wise?
He'll be off end of the season, and who if anyone can blame him! What a waste ffs |

I notice Everton didn't drop their keeper after his howler against Liverpool.....

Really... After all the points Wayne has cost us over the last 3 seasons. You really want to go there?

Give punchy a go. Stick Hennessey up front. Would be a laugh if nothing else.

Having gone to both the WBA and Middlesbrough cup games, haven't seen anything remotely impressive from Guaita.
Hennessey is clearly number one at Palace now. One of the goals against West Ham he probably could have done a bit better, but he's been one of our best performers this year. Dropping him would be stupid |

It's taken him 4 almost 5 years with Palace to become the required standard. And that's not only me who is saying that. I'm pleased he has improved, but it just goes to show how inadequate our coaching had been for 4 bloody years that we just settled for him being a gaff prone buffoon rather than try and up his game. And let's not forget he still got dropped TWICE last season for a 57 year old.

I still think we should have persisted with Alex McCarthy (as we have with Hennessey) at the time. The way I see it was we saw an opportunity with Mandanda and ditched him. Let's not forget at the same time we were also touting Wayne about for a buyer too.

I'm not a big fan of Wayne but he's been solid this season. All goalkeepers make mistakes. Look at De Gea the other day.
If he puts together a run of shit performances (like in past seasons) then Guaita deserves a shot. Until then it's not worth changing it.

I would have been more than happy with giving Guaita a go but the performance he put in at Middlesborough scared the shit out of me - he was shocking. I think stick with Wayne for the time being.

I am sure it will be Wayne. *oy would never make such a bold change. He'll only make the changes forced on him by suspensions.
FWIW i can understand not making the change in this instance. Having backed Hennesey i don't think you can realistically undermine confidence based on a couple of below par performances. Albeit I would most likely have started the season with Guaita. |

You can't judge a player on one match. That's the mistake the wankers made with Zaha. Punchy might turn out to be shit but he was highly rated in Spain and Hennessey has let in 3 in the last 2. If he can speak a bit of English now then it wouldn't hurt to give him a home debut imo. Otherwise he is going to get pissed off. Competition for places is always important.
