Premier League’s biggest bottlers

We’ve basically bottled it in the last couple of games.

All heads went down at Brighton.
Tomkins lost the plot in both matches.
The team look like they can’t come back from any set-back - Pardewesque.

We used to take the piss out of Brighton bottling it every year. Now it looks like us.

Against West Ham we fought back to score another goal after going 3-2 - not sure how that equates with bottling it? Brighton I could be inclined to agree with you but don't overstate your case. And do you start anyting but endless negative threads?

The Brighton game on its own proves the point made .... This team misses a Jedinak!

Am I the only one who sees the West Ham game as us being beaten by a superior team with better players and a better manager?

Fair point but what about:

Wolves
Southampton
Newcastle
Watford
Brighton
Bournemouth

?

Fair enough to lose to Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and maybe Everton too, but the defeats above are poor results.

If we had a forward we would be winning we don’t it ain’t going to change and I can see how the players feel they can all do their bit and we still can’t win as there is no one who is a specialist forward and their are no plans to address that.

I didn’t think we were going to get a win there but a draw is what we should be expecting. The Brighton result has caused mass hysteria and exasperated the defeat at the Hamsters plus the fact we were 1 up and should have been 2 up by half time.

Probably. They have a better squad, but a lot of injuries, so the team on Saturday was no great shakes. They were playing at home.

Their big injuries are up front (Arnautovic and Yarmolenko), and going forward they’re one of the best teams in the league depth wise. The fact that Carroll, Perez and Chicharito can usually only make the bench at best is testament to that, when all 3 walk into our team.

I thought we were better than them first half TBH.

What could have been if we had gone in 2 up at the break. Small margins.

The worrying thing for me was the Brighton match and manner of the defeat. We played against 10 men and conceded two goals.
We then had no real cutting edge to put them on the back foot in the second half.

When you lose to a poor Southampton side whose only win was against us it doesn't bode well

Add throwing away points (needless penalty for Bournemouth and a unbelievable miss against Newcastle) I really do fear the worst this season.

Luka's post match comments against West Ham were along the lines that you can't concede three goals in twenty minutes against any side outside of the top four.

I do hope Steve Parish allows Roy to invest in the squad as Roy Hodgson has been hinting for sometime now he needs that type of support.

We have regressed over the last couple of seasons and need to wake up and smell the coffee as we are in yet another relegation battle when on paper we should be a mid table team.

It's very frustrating as we do not seem to learn the lessons from previous seasons.

We drew against Newcastle did we not? TBF Watford, Bournemouth, Wolves and Brighton are flying at the moment.

I get your point though.
