Probably the 3-2 Chelsea FA Cup game. I assume that was before the Brighton 1-1 game (where it went to a second replay at Stamford Bridge). If correct, 14th Feb 1976.

Dont remember that ..but i do remember the palace mob being in the south stand..lots of palace in chicken run as well .. It was going off all night everywhere . I remember also a couple of palace fans getting escorted to the south stand ..So that could be the guys you mention . My dad told me not to mention the incident where he layed a weed spark out as he was still in the army then and my mother would have probably bollocked him as well. h

Don't think either were my first away match but these stick in the mind as very memorable ones
millwall 1-1... jim cannon punched it in way into injury time. teddy for them leicester 4-4... george wood terrible clearance and they scored from what felt like midfield... think we were down 4-2 at half time and glenn pennyfather scored a cracker in the second half anyone got youtubes of these?

Wimbledon away at Selhurst. Not long before they were consumed by Winkleman and MK. I remember it was quite strange - most of the ground was closed and no sound system.

Same here! Stood on the long side with my brother who then decided to stand in the Cold Blow Lane End at Millwall away and when John Jackson saved a penalty jumped up and down before he had to leg it out of the ground.

Brighton -24-Apr-84. Think it was a bank holiday Monday , we lost 3-1. When the gates opened at the end of the game it was complete mayhem, remember getting chased through the tulips in the park by a mob and police horses

I believe it was Liverpool 3-2 Crystal Palace, 13th November 2004 in the Premier League.
I was 10 years old (Christ is it really been 10 years) and was in the second row so couldn't see much of the game. Baros with a hat-trick of dives subsequent goals (2 penalties, one free kick) and a wonder goal from Joonas Kolkka and a certain Michael Hughes header. Also remember the Kolkka yellow card for "diving" after he demonstrated the severity of Baros' poolside abilities. Gets me every time. |

Not totally sure, but think it was West Ham at Upton Park, around Feb/March 72.
All a bit hazy now, but we sat near the back of one of stands, with a side on view - My Dad took me and a few of his friends were there, as well. I don't think many Palace traveled to away games, in those days - It felt we were the only Palace there ! I recall it ended 1-1, with us getting a very late leveler - Forget who scored for us, though - Gerry Queen ? Willie Wallace ? |

QPR '97 I think. We scored within the first 20 mins. Atmosphere was mental and the noise from us incredible. Carlo Nash was heroic that day (if memory serves me correctly)

My first away game was Fulham 0-0 draw in march 1979.
Remember standing in that big open end and it pissing down all afternoon. |
