Our wage bill must be ******* huge though? Sakho/Zaha/Benteke all on over 100k a week? Cabaye can't be far off either.

Where do we stand wage-wise in relation to other clubs?

We will spend. But think we will have 3-4 astute signings rather than names

Summer will be interesting. Wonder what will happen with cabaye. Big wages - and i could see Jairo being lined up as a replacement for him in the first team.

I think the more we win, the less the budget.

I would be stunned, impressed, gobsmacked if we sign 4 players. We need them but ....

Signing 3-4 players and increasing our chances of staying up considerably makes it a very worthwhile investment. The revenue from staying up is incredible. And we've got a lot of players out of contract in the summer so the wage bill will reduce in some areas. We are threadbare in some positions.

Including the two loan fees we spent close to £40m in the summer and only recouped about £2.5m. So we did spend a fair bit really.

2014. Pulis had been appointed for about a month 2015. Pardew had just arrived 2017 Allardyce had been appointed for about 10 days 2018. Roy has been with us nearly four months and has dragged us off the bottom. I fear he may be a victim of his own success |

Really should’ve spent months lining up targets etc with dougie so the wheels are already in motion and results shouldn’t change a thing.

Here's my prediction: The Club releases £50m to Roy for reinforcements Palace stay up again. We sell Zaha in the summer to recoup the spend Parish sells stake to Chinese. |

But we did spend big in the previous January. Our main problem is the lack of saleable players to offset the wage bill.

Don’t forget though that we haven’t used the foreign loan market yet.
