Ibrahim Amadou

CRYSTAL PALACE are making a £13million bid for Lille's powerful centre half Ibrahim Amadou to solve their injury crisis.

Palace have contacted the French club about the Cameroon-born star who could fill the boots of Scott Dann after his knee problem cast a doubt about him playing again this season.

With Dann being 30 and suffering such an awful injury, we may be replacing him for the long run now, so a bid like this wouldn't totally surprise me.

Would be happy with this, when you sign an international player from what ever national side really, you minimise the chance of it being a duff signing, jedinak, Luca, cabaye, etc

Labelled as a defensive midfielder on the first page, versatility is always good.

I hate the Sun but they have got transfer stories about us right before anyone else a few times in the past.

Pretty sure it was the Sun who broke the story that TFM would turn down Watford to join us on loan, a week or so before the deal actually happened. So they certainly get some things right some times.

Well they might but over 50 years that's not a big list. 2 of them were sweepers rather than CBs and only one of them has played seriously in this decade. Anyway - I wasn't saying he couldn't do it but on average that's small for a CB which is true. Sheesh, its tough around here these days Anyway - maybe he has high heeled jumping boots.

In more modern terms there’s Sergio Ramos, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Javier Mascherano, Samuel Umtiti, Otamendi, Azpilicueta, Shkodran Mustafi, Lauren Koscielny and probably many more that I can’t name off the top of my head. We could sign Warwick Davis in goal for all I care though, if our lord and saviour Roy approves I’m in

Bordeaux have €10m bid for Ibrahim Amadou rejected
Cash-strapped Ligue 1 side Lille have rejected a €10m from Bordeaux for captain and defensive player Ibrahim Amadou, according to L’Équipe.

Lille need to raise €25m in order to prevent the French Football financial watchdog, the DNCG, from automatically relegating the club to Ligue 2 on the grounds of accounting irregularities.

LOSC are hoping to sell Amadou to raise that money, with the aim of earning €20m from his sale, likely to the Premier League.
