Probably like everyone else i know nothing about this guy, but based on the video he looks interesting, his play seems full of aggession and pace also seems fearless just what you should look for in a young Centre Forward. Now it depends what they are asking, but also convincing our old friend Gus Poyet to sell to the "old enemy"

If he's hard as nails and he wins games for us he would be a sort of Angelo Batard.

Perhaps the answer is somebody who is late into the box: A Lampard/Scholes/Lanzini type to get on the ones everyone runs past or hasn't moved for. Still think this one won't fly because of Poyet though

I like this player. He's something of a late developer IMO and has plenty of potential. As a youngster he made appearances for the French U17, U18, U19 and U20s teams. He also scored the winning goal in the final of the Coupe Gambardella (the French equivalent of the Youth Cup) in 2013 against Sedan in 2013. He came into prominence last season when he had a good loan spell in "Ligue 2" (Yes, I know "Ligue 2" = the Rothmans Isthmian league! ) for the team called Clermont Foot. At the start of this season he stepped up and played a few games for the 1st team before fracturing his 5th metatarsal in October. He was out of action for 3 months before coming back into the 1st team recently.
Gus picked him for the match against Olympique Lyonnais yesterday afternoon which Bordeaux unfortunately won 3:1, in which Laborde scored a goal from the spot. He put in a real shift and gave the Lyon defence a lot to think about. He's not very tall but he is quite good in the air. I'm not sure whether he really wants to leave Bordeaux this winter. Their other good player, the young Brazilian, Malcom, has said the he is prepared to stay at Bordeaux in the near future despite interest from Arsenal who offered 30m€ IIRC. He obviously wouldn't be too expensive and I imagine we could offer him a better wage than he's getting over here. PS: Batshuayi is the player I'd go for if he was really available. PPS Gaetan Laborde = Born Eagle Data |

I know nothing about the guy but based purely on the youtube vid, your post and sheer frustration of not having signed a striker, this bloke will bloody do for me! I liked some of his finishes, looks like he's got 'good feet' and if he puts himself around a bit and is cheapish... pffff sign him up!

Gaetan, Gaitan, Guiata - like a game scrabble when you've got too many vowels!

Strangely enough, I am more excited about the club potentially signing this chap and possibly Alexander Sørloth than any of the big time Charlie’s, Eder, that we have been linked with. All we need then is a keeper and possibly another central midfielder, that fella at Lille who can cover more than one position, and we should be done.

He was a bit of a dreamer. Thought it was a bit of a lark to gaze up at the sky and dream of playing for Palace one day.

Would be decent if this one worked out along with the Lille midfielder/defender.
