Looks real quality. One in six for Tranmere on loan. Well done, Parish

Interesting one. Seems a lot of interest shown in him by clubs over the years, despite his goals-per-game ratio not being overly impressive. And who knows what he could achieve with supply from the likes of Wilf and Townsend?

If this happens, it's as cover for Benteke, pure and simple. He's a strong target man who clearly has more to his game than just a goal return. The 8m fee seems excessive given what he's achieved so far (even in todays market), but presumably much of it is performance related so the actual risk is probably much lower. If Roy and Dougie have identified him as someone who will take us forward, then that is good enough for me. He's certainly better than what we have, isn't costing the earth, and is likely to be happy to wait for his chance. Ideally I'd like to see us also add a different type of striker, but this is a decent start. |

Seen him once or twice on tv and he looks okay...in the championship. Better than nobody though..

Yes, I suppose you’re right. Best to get behind the move and give him a chance.

Never heard of him. Watching the clip & reading a bit about him, he seems similar to Wickham. Puts himself about, causes defenders problems, not prolific but opens things up for others and dare I say it, has had fitness issues.
Some Preston fans think not good enough for the Prem and bite hands off for £10m etc, but plenty of interest in the Championship at £8m. Seems like a punt on a relatively late developer (25), but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

It’s a body and another option, that’s about as excited as I can get. I’m sure I read he was out of contract in the summer so I think the £10m quoted will be a lot of performance related stuff. If this turns out to be true then I’m disappointed.

Such a gamble, we've seen so many championship forwards score a hat full of goals at that level only to struggle in the Premier League.

Happy with this. Young, hungry English lad up front. What's not to like? New cult hero. My favourite player already. Good luck Jordan - see you at the game tonight.

The type of signing I expected considering our budget tbh. Big move for the player, good luck to him. He hopefully he comes in and has a go.

Reading had £8mil bid rejected yesterday according to Ed Aarons.
Contract expires in 2019.

Well the last Jordon/Jordan's have worked out fine so I don't know what anybody is complaining about. Alcacer in disguise.

If Sam Vokes can be classified as a premier league footballer there is hope for all championship target men
