If we stay up, hopefully we haven't burned too many bridges with players like Amadou, Tofan and Ronnow all of which I think could have a place next season within the squad, I'm not so sure Speroni, Cabaye or McArthur's contracts should be renewed as they showing signs of age and inconsistency.
In regards to this window and it's success, the term 'Typical Palace' has never been more apt. I think have had our pants pulled down a bit with Sorloth, but I'm actually quite excited about him and hope he starts alongside Benteke on Sunday. Not all of this has been our fault, but to not have a back up plan, or know when to realise that a deal is looking doubtful and move on is naive. |

To be stuck with Hennessey between the sticks is an epic fail

I beg to differ. Southampton sold their best player for 75M and have only signed Carillo. Huddersfield and Brighton’s activity looks far from convincing especially given form and position. That is your three teams for relegation imo. Southampton will rue their persistence with pelligrino. |

Worst window since promotion imho
Minimum should have been striker and GK Hugely disappointing, no complaints if we get relegated |

A very poor window. Anyone saying otherwise is in denial. Roy will be fuming.
Fifty year in the premier league and we do that. Last edited by Mr Palace; 01-02-2018 at 08:20 AM. |

The goalkeeper situation is not ideal but is something that I believe we can live with, however - the three signings are very much unknown, untried and untested at this level. For a team battling relegation this is what I find the hardest thing to understand. They might turn out to be excellent signings, but at this stage of the season we should have been signing proven players to try and pull clear of the chasing pack. An experienced centre forward like Afobe (who went to Wolves) or Crouch alongside Sorloth would have made sense. Let's hope this window isn't the undoing of the last 5 years work!

A great window for our under 23's.
Roy must be gutted, hope he doesn't end up going for "personal reasons" now he's seen how we operate. |

So much time to get players in, to not get another goalkeeper in, not once but twice is unforgivable. Only hope we don't get any long term injuries.

It's a failure because we have failed to address the goalie situation - again
It's a failure because our first team is no better It's a failure because the squad is still paper thin It's a failure because, despite Roy's comments about the need of new players, the Board has not done its job It's a failure because we leave everything till the end and fail - again It's a failure because we suffer injuries to players in the window, yet do nothing to replace them. It's a failure because we bring players in for talk and have not agreed with their club. Total disaster - again

Failure.
We have known what was required since the last failed transfer window when we got a dutch player with potential - but currently a benchwarmer and an apparently injury prone Sakho. We have again gone for potential - but they are still benchwarmers. Roy has been saying what he would like (hopefully expecting?) and we got no goalkeeper and only one forward.

We simply have to beat Newcastle. I said this yesterday but we’re currently worse off than we were at the end of ththe summer window. We’ve replaced two injured players so that doesn’t count and we’ve signed a striker, yet we’ve lost one to injury. In my opinion we are one or two injuries away from from relegation, it’s as simple as that. Going in to this window our survival was on a knife edge, the one striker signing does not change this. Even when everyone is fit, we are one injury away from Kelly at the back again, no left back cover, no cover for wilf or Andros and our midfield lacks any kind of creativity going forward. For the first tome this season I am actually worried. Apart from the new striker we still have sweet **** all to come off the bench to change a game, no winger, no midfielder, nothing. I wasn’t expecting to make signings that would change the first 11, but our bench is still abolsoute shite. No game changers. We’d have won on Tuesday with decent options, I hope we don’t hear that a lot for the remainder of the season

Didn't feel a great success, but judge it in May.

We started the window with the most threadbare squad in the league, and finished it in exactly the same way
So, no, it wasn't a successful window. In fact it couldn't have been much worse

We lost Puncheon, Dann, RLC with Wickham and possibly Sako out for long spells Replaced those players with cheap, untested and apparently unfit youngsters We still only have 2 goalkeepers both of which have been unfavoured and dropped over the season Our 1 misfiring striker’s competition is a Danish unknown Truly awful window clinging onto the hope we can stay up with what we have. Our performance at West Ham on Tuesday was abysmal. Another huge gamble taken by Parish We deserve all we get |

Successful for Parish. He improved his skiing and even managed to complete the Verbier red run. He's going to attempt the dreaded black run when he goes back next year for the last 3 days of the transfer window.
