They're in a similar position to us, in terms of having a talented squad which should be finishing higher. But we have Sir Roy of Croydon and they have Moyes the lady slapper

Fans of pretty much every club outside the top 6 thinks they'll be able to have a go at cracking the top 7. With the money about these days, no team is being unreasonable in thinking that this is possible.

Its only been a few weeks since fans on this site were calling for Parish to go just because we were in danger of being relegated, as if a club of our size is entitled to a place in the top flight. I've read serious posts on here recently saying Zaha could get into the Madrid/Barcelanoa teams, and it's not been long since you had comments about Hangeland and Delaney being better than dross like Mamdou Sakho up at Liverpool.

That said Brighton fans thought Buckley was better than Zaha so I'll go for them

Historically hasn't it been Spurs? Especially when it came to radio call-in shows.

I think West Ham are the new Spurs.

Everton get my vote! This season they have been super deluded. A very average squad that is top 10 quality at best. No stand out players at all, let alone world class players yet seem to believe they should be finishing inside top 5. Atleast we have got stand out players! (Zaha, RLC and more recently Patrick Van Aanholt).

Deluded ain't even the word...

Let’s be honest- Everton have never, been good in the 25 years I’ve been watching football. Ok they finished 4th one year, but Ipswich came 3rd a few years earlier. Ok I think they won the FA cup one year, but Wigan have done that. Ok they were good/successful in previous generations, but so were Forest- and more so. T are not this massive club they profess to be, they are not even the biggest club in their City. They’re fans are complete wank & don’t sing at home, and almost every Everton team I can remember have been poor to average at this level. Deluded *****.
This!

They have never looked threatening ever. Even when they had Lukaku they seemed to lack that real bite.

Atleast with some of the other clubs mentioned like Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool their delusions do have little substance to them. They do have some world class players. Everton though, what are they on?!

Answer me this! Who is Everton's best player?!

Come on now, Everton play in front of 40k each week, have been in the top flight since before any of us were born and spent an unprecedented amount (for them) last summer. You can appreciate that they were probably hoping for more from this particular campaign than grinding out a 9th place finish with football that is depressing even by Allardyces standards.

No team has the right to do well but I see why they're especially aggrieved about the season they've just had.

Past form indicates we'll get a few meltdowns from Wolves fans once they realise that they're going to be losing more often than not in the prem.

No! Firstly they finished 8th place. Totally disagree. They overspent an unprecedented amount on bang average has been players! FACT!

Their player quality is nowhere near the standard of Man City, Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool's. Not even close!

The majority of them were advocating these signings though. None of them were worth what Everton paid for them! Their squad looks shit on paper and it is! They do not have any standout players at all.

not allowed to want more than staying up and 3 shots on target (max) a game if you're one of the mid table teams apparently

wait, so Wembley's stewards are Spurs fans?

pretty sure they are independent contractors provided by a security firm at the venue.

Everton

Before Allardyce took charge, they were getting spanked 4 - 0 by Southampton. Southampton for goodness sake...a team that nearly went down. If it wasn’t for Allardyce they would have gone down without a doubt.

I don't think that's right. Whilst Koeman was there this season they didn't lose to a single bottom half team.

By the time Allardyce took over, they were 10th.

They lost to Southampton, but that was their only loss to a similarly placed team. It's not like they were getting hammered each week to "the likes of" Southampton.

If anyone thinks they were in danger prior to Allardyce coming in, I'd suggest they look at the above link.

EDIT- actually the last game before Allardyce came in was a 4-0 win over West Ham To view the link you have to Register or Login
