Just inquired with the Three Guineas (the normal away fans pub outside the station) and since their refurb they no longer allow people in with football shirts. Not too sure how strict they will actually be on Saturday because its not an official league match, but something to bare in mind. One of the pubs in town might have to be an option if they uphold their policy.

If you're into their beers, there's a Brewdog in town now (about 6 minute walk from the station). Pretty big and I doubt they'd care about colours.

Can't remember the name, but there was a decent pub in the town I went to with Smoz and Stinky that had a good array of beer too.

I don't think there are any points for this one.

They used to give points for pre-season friendlies - not sure why it's been scrapped

Interesting if its true that they don't give points to loyal fans who are prepared to travel to friendlies any more. Perhaps the most senior executive in charge of ticketing could elaborate on this decision?

To be fair it was always somewhat inconsistent - I got points for buying a ticket for Dagenham through the CPFC box office for example (and others didn't), but all fans who went to Hong Kong got none.

Just noticed who their manager is. Glad to see that prick down where he belongs, next big thing my arse.

Any advice on where to/not to park? Thanks in advance.

For the FA Cup in 2016 I parked at the Holiday Inn Reading South (address below). Cost £5 or £10 (can't remember which). Easy walk to the stadium and a good getaway to the M4 afterwards but frankly as it's a friendly I'm sure there will be other options that are probably cheaper.
