For those drinking before the game the closest pub to the stadium, the Queens Park Hotel on Holdenhurst Road (alongside the A338) does not allow away supporters.
The nearest Wetherspoon's pub 'The Sir Percy Florence Shelly' on Christchurch Road, Boscombe closed permanently last May but away fans are welcome at the nearby Mello Mello Bar and Baxters around a 10-15 minute walk away from the ground. The Mello Mello Bar also shows televised sport on a number of screens. If drinking in the numerous bars in Bournemouth Town Centre before the game it is around three miles away from the Vitality Stadium.

Anywhere close to the station worth having a few beers and a bite to eat in?

Bournemouth isn’t rife with decent pubs though IMO, good for a night out etc but if you want a range of boozers you’ll have to head to the town centre which is 15 mins away walk away.

Avoid spoons and Mello Mello in Boscombe as they are bloody Grim. The Grove Tavern in Southbourne is 5 mins in the car and a lot nicer.

Was in grove tavern on Sunday. 5 mins down the road for the real ale people is the wight bear ale house. Up the road towards the station is a microbrewery place, plus the bell pub by pokesdown station. Mello bar and Baxter’s no idea why these dumps have been suggested unless from the local police. Much nicer bars in town centre. Early arrivals for breakfast the Neptune an harvester by the pier opens at 9 or the Wetherspoons in town centre.
