Stoke City Parking
It always seems to take ages to get away from Stoke, although I guess most of their fans might wait in the stadium as it's their last home game.
Has anyone tried Longton Rugby Club before? It looks like you can park there, eat and drink there and they claim it's quicker to get away from. Would be good to hear whether that's the case from anyone that's tried it before. |

I normally park in one of the factory car parks on Stanley Matthews Way - can be bad getting in, but not so much afterwards.

True. Depends how they would feel about a 'lap of appreciation' if they have just gone down. I reckon our fans would stay in the ground if it was us in the same position.

Me too. I tried the Harvester once and, though convenient pre-match, the traffic was shocking afterwards. The other car parks are certainly better, but it still took us a while to get away last season.

I think if you park anywhere in the immediate vicinity, it's going to be a nightmare getting away - last season though I missed the start of the match due to the traffic, whereas getting away was slow, but no slower than you get at the likes of West Brom etc.

Always a nightmare getting away wherever we have parked. Just sit there and be patient and bask in us reaching 40 points!

Have parked at harvester before but think give that a miss this year probaly park where Audi is so when come out away end walk away from ground area always seems to come to a standstill for 30 45 min after game .they seem to let all the coaches buses get away first suppose depends on how game goes what happens after will they stay for lap of honour will they start kicking off outside in street if stoke win they will stay we might be able to get away quicker just got to see how game goes.

Going to try something different on Saturday, I hear the Screwfix warehouse car park is not bad for exit. |

Two options I’ve used, the station car park is a fiver and then pay the pound each way on the rail bus and the other is the car park two minutes from the ground. I prefer the car park two minutes away, but it takes a long time to get out so don’t expect to get away sharpish.

OK - thanks. I wondered about the Screwfix place too.

Basically the further you're prepared to walk down Stanley Matthews Way, the easier it is to get away. In the past I've headed back down the A34 to J14 of the M6. Quite easy - especially when Chungy has just fired in a 93rd minute winner from outside the box!

It’s about a mile to the m6, traffic will be heavy but moves quite well.

That is over 3 miles away unless I’m looking at the wrong one?

Yeah - Screwfix is where I normally use. It's also worth knowing / remembering that there is a pedestrian exit to the car park at the end nearest the stadium, so you don't have to walk all the way back to the car entrance
