Guaita looks a very good keeper and from tonight's showing Palace have some very good players to supplement the first team as tonight Palace played a good passing game and showed great pace going forward with our flying wingers being picked out with some lovely passes from midfield which featured Puncheon and Williams.
Kaikai once again showed that he has the instinct of a goalscorer with his late winner being his 3rd goal in his last 3 games as he raced on to a fine low cross and met it perfectly with a thumping finish. Johnny Williams also scored a well taken goal as he cut his shot back across the keeper to draw Palace level after Stevenage had taken the lead after a defensive mix-up gave Guaita no chance after the ball fell kindly in the box and the striker then struck the loose ball home first time from close range. Palace started with the following players with first team experience : Guaita,Souare,Kelly,Williams,Puncheon,Kaikai and Sorloth and these were supplemented by Palace youth players who played well. There was a good turnout of Palace fans. At half-time I met Michael Bridge of Sky TV and he remarked how Palace fans were on another level when it came to support and I think that following some Palace fans kind hospitality on Transfer Deadline Day he really enjoys covering Palace.
