Spuds have systematically destroyed every young players career since the formation of the PL. Look at the ones who actually did make it through their ranks. Even the great white hopes of Darren Caskey & Rowan Ricketts (who were both supposed to be great when they were 19/20) have struggled to play league football for anyone. Spuds screw up youngsters. Fact.

Bostock has just had a glimpse of his future today.
Spurs have just loaned Giovani Dos Santos to Ipswich for the rest of the season. Now that's what I call keeping your light under a bushel!

Just been discussing, via email, Spurs youth system with a mate who is a Spurs supporter and got this reply -"You're still pissed off about this John Bostock thing, aren't you? If it's any consolation, he isn't very good."
Good to see him being well thought of |

I know a few big spurs fans (Kyle Reids Uncle being one of them) and he rates Bostock very very highly but feels he may be too light weight at the moment to properly fulfill his role. He is only 16 so give it a few years as Great Gonzo expertly points out and he'll be a big star.
Lets face it, if he'd forced his way into the Spurs first team already then he would've been justified in his decision to leave for a bigger club. |

Lovely picture of JB in "The stage" newspaper in last weeks edition. He was a judge at a talent contest in the Millfield Arts centre, Edmonton, London and presented the winning singer Tom Prior with an award!
Jet set stuff this footballing lark

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is lining up a summer bid to bring Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari back to the Premier League - with Jermaine Jenas heading in the opposite direction. Redknapp's summer targets also include Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones, Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing and Charlton wonderkid Jonjo Shelvey. (Daily Mirror)

Poor John.
He would have 20 + Championship games under his belt by now if he stayed at Palace. And nowSpuds are going for the Clowns wonder boy. Still at least he thinks he's in the right and better place.

I hope he's enjoyed getting driven to the Spurs reserve games in his dad's Bentley because from the looks of things, he'll be doing the same next season. |

I'm sure Bostock's family are very happy with the money they have got out of this deal - but hopefully it will all start to run out when Johnny boy is shown the door at White Hart Lane, surplus to requirements.
I've been told that the step-dad still turns up at SP - what a bloody nerve - messing up your own foster son's career, taking the money and then glibly turning up in the Main Stand, knowing that the lad would have at least got the run of 10-20 games this season to actually get his career started. He is Johnny Nobody now.

Yeh, but I'm sure he'll become a better player by training with good players.
And turning out for the reserves in front of a man and his dog. He was stagnating here remember. |

The ironic thing is that had he stayed he'd probably have featured in most of this season's matches and may have been taken by a big club (for a big fee so everyone's happy) rather than the mediocre under achievers he's lumbered with now.
