The thing is, as far as this vote goes, people have to go with their conscience. It's all very well both sides playing politics, but there is a majority in the HoC that would prefer not to utterly ruin the UK economy in the name of a few oddities on the rights' obsession.

The tories have to offer the same thing anyway. DD was again reiterating no border and respecting the gfa today.

Corbyn has done them a favour. Again.

Workers wages rise ??

U.K. Wages Pick Up as Fewer Foreign Workers Take Jobs

"Pay for workers in Britain picked up in the fourth quarter and productivity gained as fewer jobs were filled by foreign nationals in the last year.

Average weekly earnings excluding bonuses rose 2.5 percent from a year earlier, the most since December 2016, the Office for National Statistics said on Wednesday. The overall employment rate rose to 75.2 percent, close to a record."

Marvellous stuff, just as we pull the plug on FOM, all the EU workers will have gone as their economies back home take off. And then when UK workers need to seek employment elsewhere cos the EU has the jobs - oops we ended freedom of movement

Perfect timing, epic fail.

Its an interesting report. Somewhat biased in its presentation though.

Despite this it still features the following:

Quote:
U.K. pay growth is still slower than inflation, which is running at 3 percent.
And also the very confusing data conclusion:
Quote:
The unemployment rate also rose to 4.4 percent as fewer workers were economically inactive.
Think I'll wait until I've seen a few more report's on the same stats before taking that reports conclusions at gospel.

The number of EU workers in the UK is 4.5% higher than a year ago. However, that is the lowest % increase since later 2013 and there has been a switch in recent arrivals to those from western rather than Eastern Europe (the ONS report today). Time now for the government to reduce austerity. They aren't yet by the comments about the March budget being a stripped down version with no spending commitments or tax changes.

Says the guy with 2000 posts in a single thread winging about someone having 6000 posts in the same thread. Do you not see how childish and churlish that is?

Is 2000 meaningless posts any more cool than 6000?

Who’s the winner of the thread???

Seriously we get you don’t like biggin but for crying out loud attacking him for making 6000 posts is ridiculous on a message board where people have been making 30 posts a day for nigh on 20 years.

Makes sense. The question people will need to ask is do we want Brexit to be as minimally damaging as possible or as quick as possible? Seems the government are slowly realizing it can't be done quickly AND competently .
