So Dann, Tomkins, Wickham and Souare out for the season, yet you only hear moaning from the top 5 or 6 teams about their loss of 2 players.

Yea have to agree, that was a Sunday league leg breaker that was obvious from a mile away. Cynical and born out of frustration as was a few other tackles in the last 10 minutes.

In real time?

I thought it was a yellow until I saw the replay - as did the commentators, the pundits and most of our players.

Obviously when you see it back it's an absolute shocker, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite and pretend I saw it at the time.

Irony is we have matches against their two main rivals for a top four finish to come.

If we do lose to Man City and Man U, it could help both teams to finish above Liverpool.

Grujic's tackle could hurt them more than us.

physioroom.com has him up for May 6th (Man City), but I've no idea how they get their information.

This needs a bump. A massively undervalued player for us. He’s been as pivotal for us at the back as Sakho, but Mamadou seems to get all the plaudits. Disagree? A) You’re massively wrong. B) Have a look at the stats.

Since Sakho joined us, their comparative stats (in the league) read:

Sakho:

18 games
24 goals conceded (1.3 per game)
25 points won (1.4 per game)

Tomkins:

16 games
17 goals conceded (1.1 per game)
27 points won (1.7 per game)

Maybe about time he started getting a bit more credit? His only fault is he’s injury prone...although Sakho has had 2 long term injuries since joining us. Keep it up James. A class act.

Better than Sakho for me, no silly stuff in our part of the pitch. Anticipates, and reads the game well.

He is very good for us. As you rightly point out his injuries have held him back at our club. With Sakho out his fitness is crucial over the next few weeks... Maybe longer.

Good to see Dann getting back to his best today too.

We've got three very good CB's at this club although only one seems to get regular credit. Tomkins is a model pro, up there with McArthur for consistency on the field and second only to Wilf for player of the season so far in my book. Can't believe Wet Sham let him go.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to appreciate this. Scotty has slipped down the central defender pecking order and it's great to see a resurgence in his game.

I would wrap Tomkins up in cotton wool over the Christmas period. With Sakho out long term, we can’t afford to lose him.

Personally, I would rest him against Man C with the more winnable Southampton match 2 days later.

Very good footballer. Scotty was imperious yesterday as well, best he’s played in a couple of years.

Scott Dann’s clearing header from a front post flick on was so important at the time in the match. Back to his best and his passing is good too. Hopefully him and Tomkins stay injury free whilst Sakho is out, looks like they are forming a good pairing.

Yep. There is no way he can play two games so close together. Pretty sure that's why he missed the West Brom game too, the medical team know he can't play too many games in quick succession.
