Anyone who thinks they are decent fans obviously never visited there as an away supporter in the 70s or early 80s.

Even last season, had the misfortune of having to go to the same train station as them, kept trying to large it to families and then it all kicked off at the station when about 300 West Ham fans were shouting abuse at this one guy on the other platform (which was actually hilarious as he was not backing down at all)

Till one guy who'd been standing on the platform for ages with us threw up the irons sign and started knocking lumps out of him. Like proper sucker punches.

True, they're like Millwall's cocky, flash, successful big brother, definitely rival the knuckledraggers for % of wankers per meters squared. I know a decent West Ham fan and even he thinks most of their fans are *****.

I'll laugh for a week if they do go down.

Bloody hope not, that'll work in their favour, playing in that toxic environment is partly why they're in the shit, I'd imagine the players would prefer to play behind closed gates.

Decent west Ham fans must be pretty embarrassed about what happened on saturday. Not going to help the team stay up.

However nobody should be surprised at the strength of feeling which the move from Upton park has generated. A lesson to any other club thinking of relocating.

Watching MOTD on Sunday cheered me up no end.

We might be a basket case, but good lord we're far from the only ones, with West Ham topping the lot right now.

Gideon is a c**t. Hth.

West Ham supporters have always been a bunch of violent, intellectually-challenged berks (c.f. Berkeley Hunt). Upton Park (or the Bow Linn, take your pick) was always deeply unpleasant, both in and around. This was my experience right from my first visit in 69/70.

Everything about the club is now thoroughly rancid, from the top down, as they squat in their shit-hole Taxpayers Stadium. Fines are useless to Premier League clubs unless they are a) Tens of millions and b) Payable in full within, say, 3 months.

1. Don't make them play behind closed doors. Let them suffer the toxic atmosphere they so richly deserve.
2. Deduct them points, like they should have done if they had had the balls, over their previous transgressions, e.g. Tevez affair.
3. Put their f*cking rent up. By x 10.

In truth, a clue to what the FA will do is in their initials, the spineless, feckless wankers. But please do continue to ensure players are booked for taking their shirts off

I hope taxpayers don't end up picking up extra security costs to protect directors, players and officials from thugs. That should be charged to the club.

Brooking was actually the bloke who clinched the stadium move. Seems he's now trying to disassociate himself from all that 'influence peddling'.

During his career, he was always the one being praised for being bright. Didn't he get 7 O-Levels or something?

And, don't forget, HE didn't win the World Cup

This is the same Brooking (CBE) who works for the FA, right?

It was Karren Brady and Boris Johnson who sorted out the stadium for West Ham over Spurs. Nice story from a few years back: To view the link you have to Register or Login

That is a very good point you raise, i hope this is raised by the powers to be to ensure the Taxpayers are NOT ripped off further. Maybe good old Boris "J" has a solution.
