I'd love to read whatever briefing pack they are sent about how to 'spread the message' on the internet.

If Brick lane is the most dangerous place in Britain then we have nothing to fear other than our own irrationality .

gotta love republicans coming up with this stigmatising or taking action against a state which is rather different then proposing actions agaist people who follow a specific religion.

People throwing their dummy out about Trump.
Clearly he is tapping into a feeling that many share in the US that Muslims are the enemy. This is pure electioneering of course but he is smart enough to see that it is his best chance of nomination. It is purely a not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims message. Many would agree and it is fascinating to see how our news, especially ITV report this story. I have rarely seen such obvious prejudice in reporting. The same with the Tyson Fury story. This smacks of the new power of identity politics It seems that nowadays, if you express an opinion outside of the accepted "correct" range, even mainstream news condemns you as a loon. This is very bad for democracy and quickly approaching Orwell world. Even if you deplore the statements of Trump or Fury or anyone, surely we must recognise their right to hold these beliefs, genuinely or not, even if they are, in some cases, bonkers. It seems that we are becoming very selective about what bonkers beliefs we tolerate these days. |

I think you're doing a disservice to pussies there. Generally, whichever kind you mean, they're inoffensive.

Seem to recall a Fox News "terrorism expert" end made a similar comment about Birmingham now being muslim-only and it was a no-go area for Police. At least he ended up apologising and making an (admittedly small) donation to a local charity - although I suspect the alternative was unemployment.
I also seem to recall Farage as at a guest at a Republican conference earlier this year where he came across as a moderate. So the thing I find concerning isn't so much Donald Trump. He's a twat looking for votes, we know that. What I find deeply disturbing is the audience in the US that he's playing to are sufficiently myopic to lap this stuff up. That's the scary bit so I hope to Christ they are a minority. |
