The point does hold up in some ways when one considers the core of our promotion winning team. The jury was out on most of our players as to whether they would be able to make the transition to the PL. As it turned out, the likes of Delaney, Ward, Bolasie, Jedi, and Murray not only stepped up to the plate, but saw off the challenges of most of the players brought in to compete for their places.

Brighton fans can perhaps take comfort in the knowledge that in the cases of players like Delaney especially, they can sometimes surpass all expectations. Generally they seem to believe their players are better than they actually are though, so maybe not. Case in point - their incredulity every time our players bested them when it mattered most, despite apparently being inferior, man for man. Beyond always beating them, I fail to understand what evidence the opposition could put forward to make them question their inexplicable sense of self importance and superiority.

This bit is brilliant....

“While there his leg went numb.

“He’s tried to get the circulation back in his leg and it moved on to something else"

Of course its a natural progression if you have a numb leg to think about having a wank after while sitting in a supermarket car park

To be fair to the chap it was Valentine's Day...quite romantic really.

The bit you quote reminds me of the documentary about Michael Barrymore's downfall which was in a few years back. They were interviewing one of his best friends (male).

"Michael came round to our house one morning in a terrible state, he'd had another blazing row with his wife and didn't know what to do with himself. Michael always loved a good cooked breakfast so I did him a fry up with the whole works, then one thing led to another and we ended up in bed together"

Come again??

Wanking in the Asda car park. Classy ...about their level really

Also "While his wife ventured into the store, he decided to stay put in the car with the family dog. "

Did the dog lead him on?

Pulis joined after 10 games. Muzza joined in during that season. Hangeland I thought was sooner but hey. Point stands, but if you disagree you are basically saying that their team is no different to ours at that time.

After spending a long weekend in Hove for sisters birthday - I had NO input on venue, I can conclusively say the whole place is full of weird old blokes, all a bit slow, grubby and a bit 'suspect' to say the least.

I don't know whether people move down there because they are a little 'slow', or if moving there for the slower pace you become a little 'slow', but it reminded me of Bedminster, Southern Bristol, where the big-eared boys gravitate towards ASDA.

Seeing this story doesn't surprise me in the slightest, along with the guy's excuse of 'rubbing his leg' as I'm quite sure Yewtree would have a field-day (or should that be 'philed-day') down there. The tower blocks around the kids Lido was suspect, along with the telescopes on their balconies.

Wearing my sash Palace polo shirt did get me a few sneers, and one comment of "That's a vile club" in Tesco, apart from that, nothing...apart from the Homeless AFC Dons supporter on the seafront, but even he was left happy with the news that they have bought their ground back and that we are looking forward to having a proper rival at last!
