If £9.90, that's ferking expensive for a breakfast muffin. Fast Eddies in Fornton Eath does a full English with 2 toast and tea for £6.

Menus which don't use currency symbols or two decimal places are extremely pretentious.

I went to the opening event last Saturday and I have to say I thought as a venue it was amazing! Spent a bit to much with doubles being £8 and beers £5. Arguably the best/most enjoyable venue I've been to! Maybe not as good as Brixton academy though.

poked my nose in whilst walking past.
Didn't have time to investigate in detail, but looked interesting.

Has anyone had their free box park burrito yet? Wondered if there is a catch?

Cheers - I imagine the queue may be one main snag!

It's been one hell of a long lunch.
Reminds me of the old days.

There were lots of people queuing for the burrito earlier, and masses once the schools emptied out.
It was pissing down with rain outside so I had my hood up, and got chased inside by a a security guard who told me to take my hood down, despite loads of people having hats, bobble hats, baseball caps etc. on. Jobsworth wanker. Discovered a good eating option that won't break the bank. Had a wrap from Greek on the Street packed with loads of belly pork, salad, humous, etc. for £4.95. Really filling. They do other fillings and toppings combos all for the same price. The doughnut place in the corner was completely sold out and closed by about 15.30. |

Ok I'm not saying that Croydon will end up that trendy but a big improvement is possible.

What I struggle to understand is why the food of choice for the skinny chino-ed, bearded brigade is the worst excesses of Americana. Jeez. Ribs, shredded pork, Donuts, 'gourmet' burgers, etc. They might as well bite the bullet and go to Burger King or McDonalds and stop pretending that the more expensive version is what the cool people should eat.

My train carriage is packed with trendies from London going to boxpark.
They're banging on about how they've never been to south London before. Plebs. |
