Bless the Weed. All excited over their big signings and now facing ManU, Liverpool, Fulham, Soton, Spurs and ManCity.
Can see our record start from last season be equalled.

Very early days, but it doesn't look promising for them.

Mid season sale of the club to Tony's far eastern chums?

F*ck 'em. They can have a point off Southampton and then lose the rest. Last season's start and subsequent 11th place finish is OUR record. I don't want to share anything with that lot.

I'm already looking forward to hearing about next season's Championship fixtures breakfast at the Amex.

A long hard season of suffering for these berks one hopes, let's sort the wheat from the chaff and see how they cope with becoming painfully cut adrift from the safety line.

As posted elsewhere, after the next two of Man Utd (h) and Liverpool (a), it's Fulham (h), Soton (a), Spurs (h) and Man City (a).

Could they replicate our start from last season? That would be hilarious if it did happen - given their away record, and the strength of the teams they have to play at home, they have to be looking at Fulham as the best chance of points by a mile!

I think Fulham would have gelled by then and proceed to beat the brakes off the tesco bags.

After the next 5 games, City will be formidable, I fancy them putting minimum 6 past the Real Madrid of East Sussex. Seriously though, where do the Weed see their first points of the season coming from? Fulham/Saints will be must wins if they don’t take anything from the big boys!

Fulham look to have some very good players, none of those starting looked a dud. I think Southampton may be in dreadful trouble this season though having failed to really strengthen and the very expensive purchase of Ings-jured.

So I can see a tough game v Fulham, and a chance vs Southampton, but they could easily lose both.

If they go down they are in serious trouble. Tony cannot bankroll them for a further assault, the last 2 championship seasons had losses of 38m and 25m respectively. If they drop I can see no way back. I want them smashed up but at the same time I've enjoyed this little resurgence of theirs, having us beat them in the top flight and watching all of their utter delusion for the World to see.

Would laugh my arse off if they got relegated this season.
Should it happen perhaps we could arrange a Brighton relegation breakfast?

Don't underestimate that defeat/performance to Watford. Think they are in big trouble already given their list of next 6 fixtures.

I guess we all play the same teams twice regardless of when they are I guess the problem will be confidence

If you do lose your first 6 or 7 you're down without a doubt. I know we survived after losing our first 7 but we had better players than you currently have and a more experienced manager.

Agreed - and as we showed last season, you can't count anyone out until far later in the season than the end of September. It will all come down to how the new signings fit in once up to speed - if they flop then it could be a long hard season.

Writing off the next two, as some of your fans appear to have done, is all well and good, but then if you get nothing from the two after that it'll begin to look like trouble. And then the two after that are tough fixtures as well, and confidence could hit a low.

Do you think there's a point where Bloom would pull the trigger on Hughton, or is he likely to stick by him even if relegation looks on the cards?

Whilst I'm not going to gloat the good thing about the weeds start is it's keeping the weed divs away . Only the half sensible ones remain which isn't too bad really , I can just about accept them at a push .
