Hard to argue with that. We need some goals from other players; dann must be due a goal soon and the likes of AT, RLC, YC & schlupp need to help Wilf out.

Most of us know this as does Parish. However we don't have any control. Parish does.

One of the most basic principles of leadership is to consider the 'what if factor'. Even in managing the mundanity of day to day life like getting to work, staying in your job and running a home to keep a roof over the heads of those who rely on you, there is always the 'what if?'

I expect the truth of the FdB debacle will eventually come out in time. Perhaps in Parish's memoirs or on HolRadio that FdB blocked recruitment and frustrated Parish's plans for pragmatism. When the fog cleared from the eyes of the Board, the transfer deadline was gone and sacking FdB was a mere footnote in Palace history.

Parish has royally f*cked up and will have screwed over at least half our season before he can make it right. Unfortunately it may be too late by then anyway. Tosun has already said not joining us was a “lucky escape” and every goal Niasse scores is a kick in the balls. Who’d join us in January if we still look like relegation fodder? Parish has a lot to answer for, FdB aside.

Haha would be perfect in and around Benteke, we should play 442 with Townsend on one wing RLC on the other (YC and LM in the middle)

Assume you have't seen any of our last few games where RLC has been completely ineffective out wide?

Wilf is a winger & it's out wide that he's at his best.

Isn’t it great to have, when players are fit, to have the choice to play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 with the same starting XI?

But when we have one injury, we're not able to play either.

Those that continue to insist on playing RLC out wide clearly lack the most basic understanding of football and his strengths.

It is really a choice between playing him behind Benteke (when he's back) and keeping Zaha out wide on the right or pushing RLC out wide and giving Zaha a free role. I would prefer the latter.

RLC deserves to be in the starting eleven and we only look like playing a 442/4411 under Roy, so it looks to be a valid discussion to have, at the very least.

I do agree that RLC's strongest position is centrally though, maybe on the right side or at the top of a diamond.

I hope the club make good decisions in January and weigh up whether we realistically can stay up or not and buy accordingly.

I know the budget won't stretch that far but we really need to be looking at other wingers. I know Townsend has been good lately but Zaha really is what gets this team going. We need alternatives in sooner rather than later for his inevitable departure so we don't feel the loss to difficult. If we had a Lookman coming on not only adding a different option for tiring full backs but somebody who will not see filling the boots of Zaha as daunting as a new signing would it'll be beneficial.

Wilf Zaha was delighted to sign his contract extension there is no inevitable departure imminent.

Taking his wages into account any club looking to sign Wilf if he was available would be looking at an outlay of over £75m depending on how much Palace's valuation was.

Great to see Wilf getting a hero's welcome on arrival in Abidjan.
Hope he is able to put England's incompetence in losing him to shame in Russia.

Picture the scene: England Vs Ivory Coast in the quarter finals and Wilf scores the winner. How many of us would really be that upset for England?

It is an awful thing to say and 15 years unthinkable but for me Wilf>England

Sadly we have Sako (looking slimmer but better off the bench) and Puncheon as experienced wingers with kids not yet there. Punch just a shadow of the player he was when first here and needs to go and be replaced. Will do well for 6 months leading to 'we should have kept him' but will free up a place in the 25. Sako too highly paid and injury prone to go elsewhere.

Makes you appreciate Wilf for not only his skill but his attitude as well.

Ivory Coast hasn't qualified yet - there is to be a play-off v Morocco.
