isn't he really more of an attacking central midfielder / inside forward? That's the impression I get from the videos.

Having a player capable of running at the opposition is the easiest way to attack the big clubs and for me that's what we're all about. I'd love us to sign this lad.
Even more exciting is his ability to attack through the middle. Imagine us with someone able to do that. We've only had that for just a few months over the last six years, when RLC was fit, and the difference it made to us was plain to see. This kid, a new keeper and a striker would represent a good window.

We have a game behind closed doors against QPR tomorrow, and we've been freeing up space in our midfield at a rate of knots. Does this all add up?

QPR see themselves as a club which nicks our players, not the other way around. It might be difficult for them to reconcile themselves to selling to Palace rather than a "big club" (see Sterling).
It's not good that all these talents local to us, end up at the likes of Fulham, QPR and even Charlton.

We can hope, although that is usually fatal.

Absolutely agree, this boy has real class and composure on the ball. Judging from the video clips he can also spot a great pass. Like Wilf at his best, he will get bums off seats.
