Not sure if this shows a lack of hunger to play or naivety ?
Or towing the line for the employer who currently pays his wages. What else is he meant to say

Report from Sky

64: SUB! Loftus-Cheek is subbed off and looks pretty miserable about it. Kovacic comes on to replace him.

Next season has the Euros after it. He will want to move in the summer, if he hasn't broken through before then.

Chelsea will not stand in Ruben Loftus-Cheek's way if the 22-year-old England midfielder wants to leave. (Daily Star Sunday).

It was only ever going to happen once he handed in a transfer request. Let's hope he does. Wasting his career there.

Mmm, define not stand in his way Daily Star.

I would say a £30 million fee plus ridiculous sell on and buy back clauses to stop the embarrassment of Salah, Be Bryne and the 10s of others they stockpiled may make this a non starter.
Needs to be legislation against the current drag net of taelent by the big boys, smaller squad limits at all levels and a maximum of say 5 loans per team

If this does come in there’s going to be a lot of pressure on the likes of Chelses to sell a bunch of players.

Permanent (or loan with agreed summer buy) RLC deal would be what Roy wants. He and we would score goals. He will progress rapidly with us but stagnate at Chelsea.

If Chelsea do decide to sell (and it wont be a loan) it will inevitably start of an auction and unfortunately i see the fee being out of our range. Our first priority Must be a top striker, so even assuming we will have a budget of say 40m that will still not get RLC and a top striker.

Appreciate I'm in the minority but I disagree. He was pivotal in our 442 last season and taking the pressure off Zaha. Put Meyer in the Cabaye role to receive the ball and dictate the play.

Under Roy, I agree. The midfield 4 at the moment is a real problem. It’s either too slow in wide areas of lacks the technical ability in wide areas.

You are not in the minority - I agree, Peter Crouch raved about RLC and his impact against Stoke near season end. He will score regularly

Agree with you. We don't need strikers we need a wide midfielder. RLC fits the bill.

As for Meyer, it is obvious Roy doesn't fancy him to start, which is a shame because I'm again in agreement with you. However MM is still a good option to come on for CK, especially in home games when we are looking to turn the screw in the last 30 minutes. If CK keeps it solid then MM can come on and help us win tight games, from a central position.

It's the same team as last year and we are now using the same tactic. The one that had us playing really good passing football and dominating teams. The only thing missing is Cabaye, RLC and Sako. Our midfield platform is 55% as good as last season we needed to sign 3 players to replace those three and we typically didn't do it. We lost £30M+ odd in talent mostly from midfield and spent £10M to replace it....... We actually have quite a few strikers injuries not withstanding. BUT the midfield has been until very recently powderpuff not winning second balls and not creating anything and it's the lack of passing ability, football intelligence and in Yohans case bloody mindedness. Now he's gone it's obvious he was like a really really really talented version of Hughes.
