Average IQ for Footballers?

Just a thought; are footballers a smart lot, or are brains more of a problem for the footballing profesional?
I reckon too many brain cells inhibit rapid decision making in a crisis. Whereas too few and we get the old Vinny Jones syndrome {an advantage in a defender for sure}.
Ratings out of ten please.

Range of between 3 {defender} and 7 for yer "jeeeeniiiiius" midfielder would seem about right for mine.
Bit of an aside, Ruddock would be about 0.25 on the above scale, see ya later "fat-boy"

Something along the lines of.............

Gary: So Andy your goal average per game has gone from 0.45 last season to 0.6 so far this season. Whats behind that?
