It isnít actually that surprising.

Letís say an away season ticket holder does a total of 20 away games (1 in the FA Cup). The average for each game is 30 Parish points. They donít drink or eat at Selhurst, and they have no interest in the club shop.

That season they will earn 500 for their home season ticket, and 600 for the away games. 1100 total.

Now letís look at a home season ticket holder who doesnít go away. Theyíll do 20 home games - 19 League and 1 Cup game. This guy always buys a round of drinks and gets a pie. Letís say itís £20 a game for that. He also spends about £200 in the club shop each year on a couple of shirts, and gifts for family at Christmas.

Season ticket 500, home Cup game 20, food and beer spend £20 x 20 = 400, club shop spend 200. Total is 1120.

This is Crystal Palace in 2017. Loyalty = money spend. How far you travel away and how many times is not as important as buying a pint at half time.

couldn't agree more and is my main gripe the way parish points is operated and why I boycott the system. parish is undoubtedly an excellent businessman but imo an inept football chairman

Question : what do you define as a good chairman ?

Parish has been riding his luck for years. Every decision that heís made had been business minded all to benefit his pocket ? So when the post about decribe him as inept I would agree. Unfortunately a lot of our fans are blinded by the movement of Cpfc 2010 when they took over yes they did save us but if ou strip everything back to itís bones weíve had a revolving door of manergerial decisions luckily for parish they right manager had always been available hence my phrase heís been riding his luck. We have Iíd say until the end of the year with Zaha before he moves on then weíre back to the team we had when injured because parish it to shrewd to take a gamble with OUR hard earnt money ! He is a great very clever businessman but in reality is no better than Simon Jordan but he had been given a big load of cash from TV AND US extra help his cause .

PARISH OUT FOR ME

What about the people who buy pints and pies but go to away matches aswell? At the end of the day it is a reward scheme for putting money into the club in any area.

Your boycott will just shoot yourself in the foot as it will mean it will be harder to get tickets, and no one will notice it unless you protest.

We have seen mock up drawings before.

SP will be a god if he pulls this off.

If we are still bumping this thread in 5 years time, he will be somewhat less of a god.

Posters lauding him and slagging off his detractors on here are jumping the gun a bit.

But SPs heart is in the right place.

If SP leaves the club having built that stand, he leaves a successful legacy (and if he actually gets all the land back that was flogged off under Bloye...). Only Noades and Arthur Waite have managed same in 60 odd years

Getting back to day to day business. I seem to have missed any announcement from the Club relating to the Brighton shambles. Especially in light of people asking about allocation and arrangements for the FA Cup game.

I am sure Palace fans would be comforted to hear that CPFC are not going to bend over and take it again when Sussex Police start insisting on draconian methods.

I feel the fans need an official voice representing our interests on this.

Correct, which makes it like Tesco Clubcard.
