I love jules. He's been a fantastic servant to the club and I'm delighted that he has had had these two seasons in the Prem with us and has been treated so well by the fans and the club.
Unfortunately I think we have seen a rapid decline in his performances this season. He is still more than capable of making some fantastic saves but he has let far too many basic errors slip into his game. He had bugger all to do today and still ended up costing us a valuable point. I would like to see him dropped for the time being. He is no longer doing enough to warrant a starting place and our sentiment could cost us. I think Pulis would have started with Wayne this season and I don't believe Warnock had much of a mandate to drop a club legend. Super Al is still only a couple of months in and has a big decision to make IMO

Too much of an important game to change for a 'keeper who hasn't played consistant football for a long time.
We should be looking to attack QPR and score enough goals to win the match. Swapping a 'keeper won't make us score goals at home, which we rarely do. |

I wonder if its like a cricket batsmen where in his mid 30's their hand eye co-ordination goes and they start missing the ball.

FWIW I thought he was excellent for large parts of this game, his anticipation to come out and clear was improved. But that should not be spilled right to Mane.
We've all been saying it for seasons now so I assume they've tried to work on it in training, but his kicking is just awful. |

Are we going to drop the defender who pulled out of the challenge and allowed a free shot on goal?

Keeper costing points needs to be dropped. Simple as really. He's cost us crucial points recently. Just not good enough. Sentiment aside, time for Hennessy to have a go

Souare gave away a goal and he was dropped, Delaney had a couple of bad games and he was dropped.

Speroni has made basic errors all season. Our defence have been very strong.

He looks good when he plays for Wales. i would like to see what he can do for us.
At the moment we have a liability in goal who is souring (for me) all the good work he has done over the years. Like a lot of us, I was there when Speroni made his howler against Everton and was impressed with how he conducted himself afterwards in accepting his role as number 2 once Kiraly claimed the spot and I have been a massive fan of his during his rise in establishing himself as deserved first team keeper. Sadly, his performances this season have been woeful. Just as they were for the start of last season. For me, enough is enough. He has been crap for a while and is costing us more points than he saves us with his (nowadays rare) shot stopping abilities. |

exactly, and they come back better because they are focused, they know if they **** up you spend some time on the bench. Jules hasn't had that pressure for at least 5 years now

So, what happens if Hennessey plays and he concedes more?
Dropping a keeper is a big move. Hennessey hasn't done enough when I've seen him to convince me he'd be a massive improvement.

Unless he has another Everton 2004 esque cock up against QPR, I think Speroni has made enough small mistakes now for Hennessey to be given a shot. Tonight's goal was poor all round but Jules shouldn't have spilled it right in front of himself (again).

Yep I will be amazed if Speroni starts against QPR

Speaking of keeper errors, Jules's certainly wasn't the worst of the night. Ben Foster hugely rash again, amazing he's still counted as one of the best English goalkeepers.

Very good point , it was Dann, and Gayle lost the challenge before it |

People can't ignore the fact that without that pathetic attempt at a challenge the shot would never have come in on goal in the first place. He spilled the ball but Ward-Prowse wet unchallenged which is unacceptable. Jules will be in goal in our next game and probably make a great save then everyone will forget it. |

Of course he will start.
People are choosing to ignore Dann's attempted challenge which cost us the game just as much as the spill. |
