He spilled the ball but Ward-Prowse wet unchallenged which is unacceptable.

Jules will be in goal in our next game and probably make a great save then everyone will forget it.

He made some good saves against west ham and looked very composed.. Actually thought it was one of his best games of the season until he palmed valencias shot into his own net. Still he had a good game. However he is costing us points.. Can't hide from that.. If the defence messes up he is paid to save shots.. Not spill them/palm them into danger. If it happened now and again then fiat enough, but he did it a few times tonight which eventually cost us, against arsenal, he did it at west ham too, he also has spilled some crosses that have lead to goals costing us points.

Time to give Hennessy a go and stop making excuses for jules.

One of the worst pools of English keepers for a number of generations. Remember having Seaman, flowers and Martyn fighting over the England shirt 10 - 15 years ago.

Speroni does this shit almost every game now. Twice tonight as well. Pathetic keeping.

Nope. That was Spreroni's ball all day long. Smother and keep. Shite.

You can't just throw in a keeper into the highest level in England after not playing consistent competitive football for about three seasons

Which is why you commit to giving him 4-5 games to gel with the back four. Otherwise how does any keeper make the step up to Premier League level? John Ruddy sat on Everton's bench for years, yet was consistently brilliant within weeks of signing for Norwich.

We're almost safe. We know, pretty conclusively, that Jules isn't the long-term answer. It's time to find out whether or not Hennessey is.

Still a long way to go. With villa winning, qpr becomes a must win. Lose that and we are back in the thick of it

Back to the GK drawing board in the summer. Hennessey was a Pulis buy and should get a chance now. If he doesn't it could point to Pardew being disposed to getting new man in altogether.

Speroni.. signs of decline. Stiil produces the moments of brilliance but what's the purpose when the basic errors are giving goals away? I'd prefer a new man altogether in the sticks from next season.

err no I'm responding to the comment above saying he was great against West Ham. Not sure why that means I need help.

We were 3-0 up and down to 10 men with 25 mins to go, I'm not sure that means our keeper is allowed to make an error.

Spreroni's confidence will be shot to pieces after this, time and time again he does this. He needs a rest.

Just seen the goal. What the **** was he doing? It was straight at him and not exactly a firm shot either.

The trouble is that it is virtually always the same error - parrying shots back across the goal. Usually it seems to be from the wide right side of our area that he seems to be vulnerable from, but tonight he did the same twice once from a central position from which the goal came and in the first half from a slightly wider position. The trouble for us is that most teams seems to be gambling on him doing it - fortunately the tactical genius that is Fat Sam failed to do this on Saturday.

I can only assume that Hennessey is poor in training, Pardew won't be sentimental in the same way as Warnock and Holloway perhaps were. Sadly, this seems to be a season too far for one of my favourite Palace players, it is rather depressing.

Lucky not to give a goal away in first half for doing same thing!
Arsenal, everton, ball watching at burnley, tonight (twice) he just isn't up to it. Too many errors & they are becoming more frequent & more costly

One might argue that Jules is single-handedly keeping us in the relegation race. Point dropped against Everton, point dropped against Arsenal, point dropped tonight all via the same basic mistake: spilling the ball to an opposition striker in the centre of the goal. Liverpool's winner in the cup was identical too.

Same costly mistake, four times, in the last six games. And there were a couple of similar harum-scarum incidents at Leicester too. He's a club legend and always shall remain so. But in the here and now, it plainly isn't good enough.
