Thank goodness for that. There I was thinking there were no winners from Brexit. It all seems worth it now. Hopefully our exit from the EU will also sort out Benteke’s bendy headers and all will be well with the world.

I'm sure any support he may have for Brexit has little to do with being Chairman of CPFC.

Is he wasn’t our chairman, some might say that anyone in his position would support Brexit as it will lower living standards for the majority of the country, and so wages for lower-paid people will decrease. That side of Brexit would suit people who own a big business, that employ a lot of low-paid staff. Eg a football club.

Dare say he was inspired by Michael Gove's idea of Brits saving money by sifting through rubbish at local dumps (interview in Sunday Times last week, see also: To view the link you have to Register or Login) No more expensive foreign imports for Palace.

Does it mean he's giving up the Ferrari?

That seems a pretty forlorn hope based on the government's performance up to now.

I am not sure who Hosking has polled - presumably his friends who will get a lot of opportunities to get rich quick as British positions itself as as off shore tax haven with lower standards to get any kind of business to invest.

SP has actually kept a low profile as to his views as far as I am aware. This pronoucement suggest he may have been listening to Hosking too much recently. I'm not sure why players will be cheaper - it will not happen - wages and transfer fees for whoever is available always expands to take up the money that is available to spend and more - that is the nature of a situation where the Prem has so much more than the league below and everyone is desperate not to be relegated. It has happened every time there is more money and will happen here as well even if other players are available because people do not want "other" players they want only the best other players who will ask for large sums of money.

The limit of the loan system to eight on loan only is a good attempt to prevent the top prem teams hoovering up anyone who seems to have any talent at the lower levels and then lending them out again at exhorbitant fees - that at least is a good try but the evidence suggest that players will go because the money on offer is really good and they will mainly think that they will be the ones to be loaned out or to make it anyway.

He’s tweeted about it in the past. Some bollocks a couple of years ago said something about people who didn’t think we could cope without the EU were negative.

.
SP views on Brexit have been far from low profile. He was very public from day one. Pre referendum he was very avidly promoting Brexit all over his Facebook , nothing to do with ‘hanging around with Hosking a lot lately’

Well fair enough then - at least he's not a flip flopper like Johnson. Hopefully he and everyone else don't complain when Scotland push their second indyref through.

In the run up to the referendum, the Premier League posted a campaign using all 20 premier league club logos saying that all 20 clubs were for remain, Parish was quick to say they were not to include Palace in that.
