Came across St Peters Ale the other week in my local bar. Bottled, but very nice. Turns out they've got their own pub in Farringdon too!

Got some of that at home - nice strong tasting ale!

Jerusalem tavern is a great pub - just around the corner from my office

At the Ocktoberfest last year I met a group of German students most of which were studying brewing and one of them had been doing his work year at the Meantime brewery. I seem to recall that his dad worked there or had some connections with the company. Anyway I understand they have an interesting type of lager that I would love to taste.

Their range looks very impressive.

Tried the whole Oakham range with Tom tonight. Great beers in different styles but hard to beat good old JHB, light, fresh, citric and very drinkable.

The Rake is a haven for beer lovers and a big bonus that it's run by a Palace supporter...

Just a very quick/general one.

This may sound silly, but how do people serve/store their ale's?

I have always been told it's best to store bottles of Ale in a fridge, take out and leave at room temperature for 30 mins then open and enjoy.

Is this bollocks though? Is it best for me to store my ales in a dark cool cupboard then crack open? Should I store my beer upwards as well?!
