I seem to remember from his West Ham days a match against Man Utd where he went up to Cantona and pulled down Cantonas' collar. I'd been wanting someone to do that for ages.

I remember the cup match against sunderland on a bitter cold evening - well fought game, taken to extra time, niall quinn hoofs a long ball over the top, easy ball for ruddock to clear, but he cant decide whether to head it or hoof it, so does something in between and almost falls over, leaving kevin phillips to nip in and finish us off with minutes to go. useless fat idiot!

or something like that. I was very pissed and memories have been partially erased by a car crash on the way home in the fog! (not me driving!)

£200 fine according to the Adder if I remember rightly!

What made it worse was that Bent was former Palace player who had once asked how Palace had got on in a post match interview for another team. Razor, I'm sure will be a good laugh etc but he werent much cop for us. Took his money and ran IMO.
Yeah. If I remember correctly a number of Palace fans were cheering the fat •••• as he got sent off and spent the rest of the game giving Bent some shite.

Heard he is a great speaker but wanted to get some stories from his time at the Palace that the great and the good on here may have up their sleeve. Any amusing or interesting stories welcome!

Got w@nkered with him once in Blue Eyes, Beckenham about 5 years ago. Jamie Pollock was out of his box and slumped across a sofa. Craig Harrison was in awe of Ruddock. Ruddock carried Pollock over his shoulder and threw him into a cab. Ruddock was a ture gent that night.

I read recently that it was Jordan who wanted him, and Coppell didn't.

It was this that lead to Coppell realizing it wasn't going to work out working for Jordan, and quit.

It was actually the other way round. Coppell wanted Ruddock. SJ got advised by, amongst others, Harry Redknapp to put a weight clause in Razors contract linked to target weight and pay etc. Coppell ignored SJ and went ahead with the transfer without heeding the advice. This led to SJ realising that it wasn't going to work with Coppell.
