Do you still have the badge in your hands?

I'd be amazed if they weren't the same for every Palace fan old enough to remember. Doing to Sheff U what Leics had done to us was just amazing.

Strangely the first goal was the highlight for me, because I knew that once we got in front, we would have too much for Blackburn. Had a great view of Super Al's pass from the AW too.
Deja vu for us fans that had been at the 5-4 defeat earlier that season.

'kin hell, that was some match. I think most of the people I went with that day lost count

Despite my age (as the picture shows), that season was still one of my favourites and I still have some great memories of matches we went to.

Likewise, was a fantastic season despite the mediocre start

What actually happened was a load of back slapping and shaking hands and well wishes for the week after! Great atmosphere! (For the record, I don't recall seeing anyone at Wembley wearing a City scarf/shirt as is often reported!)
Yeah I remember that day, Barber at left back, Andy Gray's free kick technique actually working and the yellow grass. I swapped shirts with a Man City fan after the game because he wanted to wear it around Manchester. I still have his City "Brother" top somewhere.

Likewise, Claridge - i was on the royal steps right behind him when the scored. Do you remember Leicester also sent on their "penalty specialist goalkeeper" just as injury time was approaching, i think he was on, or ready to come on.

Best - Ian Wright scoring after he came on, this time i was in the Man U end.

Worst - not got tickets for Monday, whereas in those days i was young free and single and had money, nowdays, limited to away appearances as live in midlands

And the final blog we've done is of course the 2004 final against Wet Sham. Bubbles burst, Limos broken down and Palace in the Premier League. Thank you kindly.

I couldn't enjoy Cardiff, a grand day out of course, but unbelievably tense..

I'm sure I'll enjoy Monday, but it will be 90 minutes of sheer agony.

(unless we go all Bradford and score 3 quick goals)

Most relaxed I've been leading up to a final. Maybe I've mellowed in age, but 89' (2nd leg) & 97' were so intense. (2004' I was a little worse for wear) Watford start as favourites, but days like this are few & far between so first and foremost lets enjoy the day, have a few drinks and support the boys.

I remember the 2nd leg really well after listening to the first leg on the radion The one and only game I went with both my father and my grandfather. Despite the latter's difficulties in walking at times to see him jump up out of his seat when when we scored the penalty was absolutely priceless.

Takes the piss doesn't it? Do they even run on the pitch at Cricket games anymore? Not sure they do!!!
