There's a video just put up on the site with him being interviewed, and he mutters the line "All credit to me" which is so Clinton it's unreal. Brilliant.

Brilliant six yard box player. He had a sixth sense to be at right place at the right time. Interesting how the game has changed - don’t see the like any more.

Great piece, cheers for that.
I played football for years with his cousins and he spent a fair amount of time coming down and coaching some sessions with us. His mum who was as mad as a box of frogs would even come down generally being the loudest on the sideline . Clinton also went out of his way to sort my old man and me step mum tickets in perfect seats for the Ireland And Germany game years ago. I still remember walking up the holmesdale road about 2.45pm on a Saturday just to hear my name being roared, it was Clintons Mum! Both Clinton and his Mum are cracking people.

Agreed. Back in the earlier administration Clinton played a huge part in keeping us in the second tier when all our established strilers left us.He was 189 abd if memory serves got a dozen odd goals in half a season. Mostly he played for Palace with a smile on his face and became a real character, Have a lot of time for the guy

Clinton Morrison was never the smoothest of movers with the ball as he often looked as if he was out of control, but ever so effective as a goalscorer and boy what would we Now give to have such a striker again.

Indeed. He was only ever prolific at Palace. Shows how some goal scorers can struggle if the team isn’t set up to suit them.

Just looking at his record, he really seemed to lose the knack after leaving Coventry, just 18 goals in his last 210 appearances. He even struggled badly in non-league.

He was plagued by the shoulder injury. A great character and an original Academy product.

If only he could have mastered the offside rule!
