One of my first Palace heroes - RIP
To be honest I thought he had already passed away. I'm pretty sure a good few years ago it was reported he was pretty sick. |

A classy player. Came into his own during the 68/69 promotion season. A pleasure to see him play. |

Brilliant player, one of my favourite players when I started going to matches with my mates. Very sad news.

I recall his first game for us. A 3 -1 win i think, but can't remember who it was against. Cliff Jackson bamboozled the opposition defence by cutting in along the goal line instead of crossing it, which is what everyone expected him to do. It was a bit of a trademark move of his. Still remember how impressed we all were by it.

Seeing what he went through 11 years ago shows what a man he was battling through it until now. Rest in Peace.
Not just one of the team that got us to the First Division for the very first time he was the top scorer that season. One of Bert Heads youngsters having him at Swindon before joining us. Played the first season in the top flight but be it through injuries catching up it was a step to far but that should not ever lessen the contribution he made to our history. The gladiator salute when he scored I guess I was not the only one to copy it on the school playing field. Condolences to a his family and friends. |

Sad news. One of Bert Head's Swindon old boys.
He played a big part in us winning promotion to the first division for the first time when converted to a centre forward. RIP Cliff and sincere condolences to family and friends. |
