Thanks for the pictures Hedgehog. "There and back again" is a cracking reminder of the good times. I suspect some of the older members have fading memories - unlike fellow old codger RtS who remembers the first match at Selhurst Park.
My then gf - the only one who showed any serious interest in football to the extent of having a season ticket for several years - was a big fan of Tony Sealy . Vince H and John B were two other favourites of hers, the latter because of his pre-match routine which was far superior to any of the entertainment laid on by the club. |

But I'll try and get a few more this weekend. I hope I'm not using up too much space on the iffy server with this photo's. Please let me know Dave/Neil and I'll shrink a bit more. BTW, Why does Trolley never post on these threads about the "Good 'ol days"? |

Hedgehog, thanks so much for posting these. I suppose I qualify as one of the older ones, having followed Palace since 1972-73, and I love the pictures right from the 60’s onwards. Would love to see more!

Hedgehog - don't you dare quit.
And as for Trolley - well, although he's advanced in years he has the razor shapr mind of forward thinking visionary and he's too concerened with planning the future to look to the past. Looking back is only for those who are mentally slowing down. And Trolley certainly does not come into that category. Alternatively, his absence could be because nobody insults him here. Let's try a test: TROLLEY YOU'RE A STUPID OLD GIT Might get a response. BTW - looking at the Yogi Hughes picture and I see the photographer's name. Hy Money. Was I the only one to fancy her ? |

Hedgehog.
Please don't quit. I have looked at all you pictures and enjoyed them all. I have some old football books from the seventies that have Palace pictures in them, also a couple of Football League Review mags that have pics in them too. Would you mind if I posted some on your thread?

What excellent pictures!
Going back to the late sixties team shot, as a 5 year old kid I thought it was really exotic that Palace had a Scandanavian type called Borge Thorup! Always scored for my Palace subbuteo team. What was the name of the other Dane in our team around then? |

As for Nelson... Please please post pictures on here, I was hoping other people would contribute. This is our collective web site, I wouldn't be so presumptuous to expect a thread to be mine alone. But thanks for asking, I know some people can be jerks. My only comment would be, I think Dave and Neil would prefer we post .IMG files, but I don't have a clue how to make one. It seems maybe from what I've read, you need a web site of your own (I think). Please Help me someone, I've only got so many gray cells left! BTW, PFiA, I think that Thorup guy may have come from Morton, it was definitely a Scottish team, ditto Per Bartrum (sp?). Oh, and they were both Danish not Swedish, but they all look the same to me too. |

I hope you don't mind me posting this pic. I've posted it before, but I think it deserves a second airing.
