Yes he should of been sent off. Clive Allen missed from about 2 yards out though

I loved 93/94 - the season that fixed the emotional wreck of a 12 year old I was when we went down.
When we got going, we never looked like we would stop. Southgate going box to box, Salako coming back from injury, Armstrong flying. Was a wonderful season. And then we started forward planning when Alan Smith signed the player he called "the black Georgie Best" in Bruce Dyer. |

Didnt go but remember the 4-2 at Brum. The goals were Palace passing like Brazil!! Even Shaw scored a great 'team' goal that day. Kevin Miller was in goal for Brum too. The 1-0 win at Tranmere was massive for me. Tough place to go at the time, Friday night on the telly if memory serves, great result. Gotta agree with PK though. As a footnote to Palace being great that season, to see Salako play up top, score 3 on a pissing wet day and finally have something since his injury (which at that time would often end careers) to remember was worth the wait.

I was 15 at the time and can't tell you how great that season was. Only missed 5 games regrettably Southend and Peterborough away were 2 of them as I was in Tenerife but they looked absolutely mental. Remember how good we were away from home and the awesome football we played. Highlights I can remember were the early away games at Birmingham and West Brom. Then as the run continued our away support just got bigger and bigger, remember getting big results and having absolutely massive followings at Oxford, Pompey, Forest (pitch invasion after Mathews equaliser ) Stoke, Watford and Boro. Also the huge followings at the 2 I mentioned earlier I missed and seem to recall Tranmere which was on telly I think.

And the choruses of "Millwall are going nowhere" echoing around the ground were pretty satisfying as well. |

Went to Millwall on New Years Day only to see us get torn apart in a 15 minute spell and lose 3-0. That was a pretty shitty memory of that season!!!

I put a tenner on Palace to win the league at 11-1 right at the beginning of the season; it seemed like a no-brainer to me and I've never bet on them again.
I saw loads of Palace that season. 4-2 at Brum was great, away at Southend was fun, beating Millwall at home was lovely and 'The Last Stand' was the biggest anti-climax I've ever experienced as a Palace fan.

I was about 16 at the time and remember phoning my mum at a phone box near Norwood Junction station to tell her I was on the way home. An irate Southend fan barged in and pulled the phone out of my hand and started shouting abuse about 'lucky Palace etc'.

I was only 8 at the time and still remember my friends and I being sheperded by our Dads whilst all sorts of filthy wanky Millwall scum were walking past us shouting all sorts of obscenities and basically trying to pick a fight with anyone they could... One of the main reasons I will always hate Millwall more than Brighton. What 40-60 year old men think it's acceptable to shout words like c*** and f*** at and threaten small children?!
