Yes that has changed. All of Moulsecoomb and Coldean are officially residents only now.

Great - my option are now:

A) Try and get a ticket via Brighton mates and have to suffer the humiliation if they shaft us but least Iím at the game (albeit in person rather than vocal support) or...

B) Watch at home drinking beer and able to shout around to my hearts content but not actually be at the match.

Decisions decisions.

No matter how they did the tickets people would have a reason to whinge. If you didn't expect serious tickets restrictions for this match then you are deluded. I'm going to miss out as only have 3500 points, but I'm not complaining. It is what it is unfortunately.

Ah well, I am sure when we are back in the championship next year and getting 15k gates, the club will look at where it all went wrong

Will be lucky to get 15k when bottom of the Championship if Tuesday night was anything to go by.

I think you've missed the point. Yes, allocating tickets based on points is essentially a no win situation, but the complaints aren't about that (for a change).

The question is, rightly, why is there a 2000 cap? And why won't those that made this decision be transparent about their logic behind it?

I thought the minimum allocation in the Premier League was 3k or 10% of the capacity if it's lower than 30000?

Edit: I misread - seems that's the maximum.

Coaches leaving at 3pm for a journey of 90 minutes so could easily be there by 5pm totally ridiculous timing to go with ridiculous ticket allocation.
Who is responsible for the continued shambles at the Club
Perhaps someone at the Club would like to explain to supporters why 1,000 cant get a ticket when i am not aware of any other Premier League game where tickets are restricted to the away Club for matches that have more liklihood of trouble ie London derbies involving Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham etc or Man Utd going to Anfield.
Once again Palace supporters are being singled out and it is totally wrong.

For a number of away matches in recent years the club have chosen to take an allocation smaller than the demand. This is a higher profile situation but it's not much different really. Even if the restriction was the police's idea, it's hard to imagine the club putting up much of a fight about it when they've already shown on numerous occasions that they're perfectly happy to exclude some of their own fans from attending away matches to reduce costs and make their own lives a bit easier.

10,000 on the beaches of Brighton, surely it makes more sense to have away fans in the stadium than it does running riot outside?

What actually happens to the other 1000 seats?

Are they just left empty or do they sell them to home fans (with a small amount used as segregation) ?

Because if you have 1 drink chances are you will then go on and buy further food and drink.

Same here Andy. At least you havent shelled out for flights and hotel already

Bloody overkill. They'll get more trouble now than if they'd just been sensible and adult about things.

Beamback will be a laugh again. Funny how this is treated worse than the Old Firm by the clubs though - have you seen the segregation in that? About 3 seats gap...

hope everyone going has a great night and laughs in their smug Tarquin faces. 2k Palace will still outsing the plastic *****
