Maybe the Trust bods know a bit more and might wish to share it?

If push comes to shove the minutes of the SAG meeting can be obtained via an FOI request

Just guessing but wonder if the options were 3k allocation comes with a bubble (and associated costs) or 2k and these minimal restrictions???

Adds to the littany of evidence that football fans are treated like children. Incapable of thinking independently or analysing situations.

"We have 2000 tickets, and Brighton will get the same."

That is completely unacceptable as a statement. Populism at its worst. You might as well say, "We think you're all idiotic chattel and we will do with you as we wish. But because we think you're puerile, we're going to tell you that we've also got a low blow in on Brighton by limiting them to the same. Waaaahaaaayyyyy."

It would be really lovely if, for a change, the authorities that make these decisions justified them. You know, like in every other fc@king aspect of life.

I know this is just speculation but if it's something like this where it's fans vs cost it's an utter disgrace.

Being over the 4300+ I'm happy with this but I'm surprised that the drop is 100 points per phase. There must be over 2000 people with 4000+ otherwise it doesn't make sense for tickets after the final points phase becoming a free-for-all.

Tossers.

So who is responsible for this?

Does this happen with any other Derby in the Premier League. Even ones like Man Utd v Liverpool or Arsenal v Spurs?

Probably a stupid question but if someone has exactly 4300 points are they in Phase 2 or Phase 3?

I suspect the club didnít want to pay for extra policing.

Itís easier to take 2000 tickets and then have a beam back where money will be spent at Selhurst.

Sums up the way Palace is run.

Why can't you simply buy a coach ticket with your match ticket?
I wonder if they'll use common sense and sell coach tickets this Saturday?

I knew about the 2000 allocation on Friday night last week from someone who knows someone in the Trust, so I'd be surprised if they (The Trust) don't know at least something about the rationale behind the decision

I believe the big clubs do a ballot for popular away games. Imagine the outcry if we had done that. If we did someone will suggest a set criteria to qualify for the ballot.. It will be never ending

Really think both clubs are over doing it. How much actual trouble at the Amex games over the last few years?

Maybe they just don't want that many Palace around the Brighton area all day, and having to police it?

I've been to Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs games etc., with mates, there's hardly any gap in the grounds and they just let them out at the same time afterwards. I don't see a reduced allocation.

I'm not saying this because I won't get a ticket, as in phase 1, but it's not fair on both clubs fans as 1000 fans will miss out.

For both the 3-1 and the 0-3 I parked in the housing estate to the south, about a 15 min walk from the ground. There were a couple of police notices stating no parking on the outskirts by the main road, but there were no formal restrictions.

This was several years ago now of course so things may have changed.

I'm also thinking along these lines. Also not sure how the 'free drink' works at the beamback when you have to pay £5 (£10 on the day) to get in. Still, it might swell the coffers ever so slightly and that's what is important. Sod the fans that actually want to go and support the team.
