Ooh another EU directive. And theres me thinking the EU has no control over the UK. A stronger tighter federal EU should be a breeze too then. If it doesnt collapse before then.

Well it looks like BE is right after all and we should walk.

According to the front page on the Daily Express no deal will cost the EU £500bn but the UK will benefit by £650bn.

I'm sure the analysis makes interesting reading

The economist behind that is Patrick Minford. If anyone can find a 2nd, & preferably 3rd, source that broadly supports his methodology and forecasts similar results within a +/- 2% range then I'd love to see that. Otherwise he appears, as ever, to be an outlier & important to remember that he has no expertise whatsoever in trade economics.

Its more than a nuance to them, they will never agree. Although perhaps they should agree if UlsterScots is also recognised as a legal entity.

The bit you so cleverly miss out and which starts to build your profile in the way you look at news, is that the UK have extended this to PayPal which is the first time I at least have read of anyone tickling PayPal a bit.

So Farage has got the wobblies and is accusing the Brexit camp of "shutting up shop". Well perhaps he and his fellow 350m quid brexit bus brigade shouldn't have ****ed off into the sunset shortly after the vote?
Trouble is you see, leavers today STILL don't know what they voted for. It's no wonder Remain is in the ascendancy, asking vital questions about the consequences of Brexit that Brexiteers simply haven been able to answer coherently, mainly because they still don't know what they voted for, short of stopping immigration.
People like Farage and Johnson showed that they are very good at corralling populist sentiment but have absolutely no idea how to implement their Brexit plans (plans being a bit of a loose description - i.e. "get rid of the foreigners"). This is now coming home to roost. Anyone who is prepared to think further than "once johnny foreigner is gone all our problems will be solved" is now beginning to see the folly that is Brexit in it's true colours.

Its wrong because we do know what we getting and when we are getting it.

The point is to leave the EU.

We have a date.
Not in the single market
Not in the customs union
No FOM
We know the cost (much lower than predicted by remoaners)
The Irish are happy (cue another paragraph from Hpalace)
Out of CAP
Out of fisheries, although its already too late.
Reasonable deal for ex-pats both ways (it seems it was the EU holding that up)

There a few ends still to be tied up but the main items are done.

Anything else?

Edit: On the other hand most deals are ratified at the last moment so there's still stuff to work but so far so good.

Just to add to this the FSTE100 is booming, the pound has returned to it Brexit level against the dollar and manufacturing is up.

It seems to be going well at the moment according to objective indicators. Although I'm sure there's an economist in the Indy or Gaurdian forecasting doom, its what they do.
